That's because I pluck from official colors to make up the contrast, and her hair seems pretty bright on it's own without a lightsource.

I like the helmet but I don't think that position is even humanly possible.  The fingers look all weird and the body or legs look way too short.

It was supposed to be a kickboxing robot, and I tried to add decals on the hips, but eh. I was never skilled at drawing anyway.

Zero seems a little scrunched up and looks more like the Model ZX megaman and he might be a bit too bright.  Something looks wrong with the Pantheon head but Ciel and the Resistance Solider looks perfect.

I'll get to Zero's pallete soon, as it seems I missed one key ingredient to his shading: his second darkest shade. I must've left that out by mistake, I'll add that soon if I could figure this one out.

Oh? Do tell, I'd like to know where I went wrong with the pantheon head so I could fix that along with fixing Zero's "scrunchyness".

About the Resistance Soldier and Ceil I sprited the style to mimic MMZ's spriting style, because for the life of me I can't seem to sprite it that well, so I went with the idea of "Modern Genesis: S3K", took it elsewhere (If that works with the Sonic 3 and Knuckles style, why not?) and so here it is.

Let me tell you, it will be a LOTS easier spriting custom characters here, plus with the addition of being able to fit with the MMZ backgrounds as well. Heh.

Set 2, Set 3's featuring the Big 4 and Set 4 will be featuring the antagonists for the rest of the series (Craft, Weil, Elipizo, and Copy X's Armor form). Set 5's gonna be the Caravan. Then movin' on to the NPCs, figured they need some time to shine.

I think the problem is with the eyes' yellow being too close to the white. You could either darken it or give the eyes an outline [preferebly with the red, since using the black would make it waay messier]. It might also help if you make the face 1 pixel longer. Aaalso, I think his legs look weird on the standing and shooting poses. Otherwise, it is fine.

On the other sprites, I like that bald dude with what I think is a scarf. Are you going to sheet him [or any of the other ones, for that matter]?

I could try to darken the yellow, because I think that the red would be tricky (because of the gem being a pixel above the eyes, I might have to redesign the character entirely) to pull off, but practice is good, so I'll take the differently colored outline challenge first, if that doesn't work I could try dumbing down the yellow by darkening it.

Making the face 1 pixel larger would mean I would have to resize the body entirely to fit. That can work. This is not an actual Mega Man style but an origional.

Yes, that's a scarf for baldy. Just that I need some help working with a full-black body to help make things more noticable. For the rest of the dudes, I have like 5/10 sheeted, with one's sheet being in progress. I could use them for a comic, but I'm crap with 8-bit backgrounds (foregrounds, specifically).

Designation: DMN-001 Super Vehicle

Primary Weapon: Gatling Spreader Gun x2

Utilities: Dash Component, Hovering Equipment, Spring Mechanism, Spring-Loaded Legs, Autopilot Pre-Programming, Automated Force Feild

Background: The first slug to come off the production line, this individual Vehicle is a mecha who's only purpose is to serve as a type of "combat suit" for it's consumers, a cheaper alternative to the high-priced tanks, as the previous wars has taken a toll on supplies to produce the tanks. Aside from the fact that it may be slow; it can be fast if a skilled pilot can handle the speeds both the Dash and Hovering components have, and is well aware of his/her surroundings. Albeit the alloy used is a bit stronger (more or less, the alloy stripped from wrecked Mars-Folk flyers) than most alloys on Earth, it's not as durable, as the cockpit takes up most of the mech, as it is one design flaw that can be overlooked by the Force Feild it is equipped with in this day and age.

Sooo yeah, some of you guys got your standard RMs, I pretty much have these, as they are easier to come up with and make.. sooo yeah. ^^

Designation: DMN-002 Super Transport Vehicle

Primary Weapon: Gatling Spreader Gun x1

Utilities: All-Terrain Legs, Autopilot, Docking Compartment

Background: This type of Super Vehicle is made for nearly all-terrain purpose transport, as used to transport weapons and other goods, which is also good enough for escort missions. Although it was made for scout missions, it can hold it's own 1-on-1 with an enemy with slight damage. Most of the time in the feild of battle, it can be seen holding off hordes of enemies in the front lines as cover fire due to it being able to take more hits than a normal scout vehicle. Aside from this, it is pretty shaky against missiles, as two hits can send it to the scrap heap in no time, so that's why it's seen with Slug Mechs to accompany them; as unlike Slug Mechs these aren't equipped with force-feilds. Aside from all of these, it is one of the more customizable ones that the consumer can see fit.

Just a bit.

Need to work on your hands mostly. And the position of the elbows, the forearms look a tad too short and it makes the arms look distorted.

Also I'm not sure what he's holding. Is it a gun, or a cross? If it's a gun. is the barrel shaped like a cross? Or is it a key of sorts?

- I tried to do an SMG. God, I suuuuuuck at weapons positioned like that ('cept swords). I need to work on weapon detailing more.

- Hands have always been a [sonic slicer] for me. As soon as I get the poportions down, I end up sucking on the hands again. WHY.jpg.

Also, I think I have the style down enough to co-exist with the sprite style. Yeah, thanks for the help.

-Well you could always google some images of SMGs positioned in that angle. There might be some tuts in DA as well.

-We all have a kryptonite. But as they say, practice makes perfect. And a decent attention span in my case.

Aside from the huge legs and overall bulky appearance, that's a good way to practice cartoonish human anatomy. Course I would still suggest to look for a few more guide lines with a more slimmer physic. But then again, I assume you made your own with the latest pic, so that might not be necessary.

- Which arm? His right (our left) or the left arm? Also thanks, the Skeleton way is just one of the many ways I roll when spriting. Plus I'm going for the Summon Night route with this style (the GBA trilogy, not the later titles).

- I could do that, it would save me the trouble looking for a weapons book and save me money too.

- Nice use of kryptonite there, but I've been battling hands for years, in a sense, it's "Bats vs the Joker" in my case.

It's a win-win scenario for me, because I like to experiment, plus since I draw a bit often thanks to my 5th, 6th, and 7th period classes, I always have a bit of free time to draw at school. Sometimes at home when the comp. doesn't take up most of the time. So yeah.

And luckly for me having a Formspring account, I can ask Mr. Wyatt for help too. This is what he said:

-Right, of course since I'm not sure if your going for bulky arms look or scrany limbs, I'm not sure which one needs to be fixed. Gotta check the Summon Nights sprites to see what you're going with. Plus you can add some detail and put some fingers in there. (at least 3, not counting the thumb, though the thumb could be a pixel wider).

Personally, I would go with the bulky arms, since he'll most likely be fighting a lot and one needs bit meaty arms for dealing a good beating. In which case, fix the left.
