Well, my cat is back from the vet, but he's still slightly radioactive for the next 2 weeks, so no getting to cuddle him or let him outside until then.

Well, what happened is my cat wound up with Hyperthyroidism, which is an abnormality that sends the thyroid gland into overdrive, which was causing my cat to practically start withering to nothing. The treatment for this is a radioactive injection that kills off the abnormal cells afflicting the thyroid. He also had to stay at the clinic until he became less radioactive and not glow in the dark (or, at least, not setting off a Geiger counter too much). So, now, he's at a somewhat safe level of radiocativity, but we still gotta be careful for 2 weeks.
