Finished Utena last night. The ending made no sense at all, but that's to be expected of a mindfuck show like this.

Up to ep 11 of Clannad dubbed. About Matrenga, his voice fits and he acts well, but his pronunciation always seems to be off. For one thing, he never once said Kouko properly. There's are two os in there, you dip! I could've swore I heard a Yoosooke at one point, too. (On a side note, casting Illich Guardiola was a perfect choice. His accent fits Yusuke's hammy speeches so well.) Also, everyone kinda slurs the pronunciation of Fujibayashi, they turn the first a into a schwa, almost cutting it out entirely. They haven't said Ryou right, either. They always say Rou, which is weird because they get Kyou right. But hey, I'd much rather hear a Rou than a Rayou.

Finished Casshern Sins this week. I really liked the atmosphere and tone of the series. I seem to remember an official thread floating about on the site, I'll leave a more in depth review there in a bit.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

VERY good movie. Its real awesome.

I personally prefer STAND ALONE COMPLEX. I've seen the Ghost in the Shell movie like 3 times, but it's still confusing me on some parts. And I haven't even seen Innocence, which supposedly is even more filled with "Oshii-ness". First movie is still an accomplishment in terms of animation and portraiting mature themes in anime though.

thats pretty much why its so great. As far as Motoko Goes, it strays REEEEALLY far from her original portrayal, But its still an interesting thing. In a society where theres almost no difference between machine and man, who defines what "Human" is?
She starts having this existential meltdown, "what if im actually not real?" Hell, you want to leave Section 9, you hand in your body and all your memories. You basically give up your life and have to start a new one.

SAC is actually pretty good too. I like it. I HAVE it. Watched it a few times over. Second gig felt weird though. But I loved the story about the boy and little girl. (AKA Motoko's past)

Finished Super Gals. I really hope Section23 dubs the second half.

Sapphire✧9

Just finished Ga Rei -Zero-, damn I cried at the ending >_<

Satoryu

Wow. I'm surprised Special A has so much serious business. It's still a very light hearted comedy, but I was under the impression that it was ONLY that. Either way, it is really [tornado fang]ing funny. Probably one of my Top 10 favorites at this point.

Dr. Wily II

Well, completed Sora no Woto, as well as Toaru Kagaku no Railgun.
Sora no Woto builds up slowly, and then WHAM, the final ep, very touching. ;_;

As for Railgun, it's Biribiri afterall, and it's nice to see the Index characters appearing as well.

And I would be lying if I didn't watch the Queen's Blade S2 specials. Same old wtf.

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Kotomi doesn't sound as awkward as I expected her to, which may be a good thing, actually. Let's just hope this girl can scream bloody murder.

Nope, she can't. She's worse by FAR. Compared to Japanese, there's like no impact in English. On the bright side, Greg Ayres has been lowering his pitch for Sunohara as of late.

I'm still watching ToLoveRu, but I'm starting to get bored with it.

Digimon Adventure 01

Yeah, it's old (and it's ripped off of the now-defunct Toon Disney and has the stupid Jetix ticker at some parts), but I don't care. Nostalgia wins here! ^_^

Vidramidra

Black Jack OVA (the original 1993 one)

Dr. Wily II

Finally, a sub of the Sengoku Basara special, aka episode 13.
It still has the brilliant fight sequences, and it seems this took place right before the storming of Nobunaga's citadel... Oh well.
It was still a great watch.
Can't wait for season 2... Right after FMA ends...

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Rayl

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi.

It's a shame there's only one season of it as the manga skyrockets in quality at the point where the anime ends but still it's fairly enjoyable to watch the first arc in action.

Flame

Catching up on Hellsing Ultimate.

Also, why did the anime/manga section suddenly get shoved in the bottom of the list under roleplay?

Still Digimon Adventure 01... 27 eps in.

And I was wondering that myself.

Sapphire✧9

Started Toradora! 24 hours ago and finished 5 hours ago, last ep. was a bit bad and weird/odd, but I must say it was one of the animes I actually overjoyed and felt like I lived in it. Probably one of the best Slice of Life animes.

Blackhook

I started watching D. Gray-Man. I like the manga so I decided to give it a try. Since the manga is still running but the anime is not I guess the anime made up it´s own ending... well I hope it´s atleast good...

Nope, the ending is almost like in one of the chapters.

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Sapphire✧9

Watced Hotaru no Haka, this movie can not be compared to any other modern animes. This one is a realistic anime, not our daily crap. This is the masterpiece movie of reality. Someone who find this boring or not shed any tear are just inhuman. This is not a movie of enjoyment, it is an experience of sadness and true love.

Just finished watching Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete (on Blu-ray), omg that was just pure awasomeness, they improved alot and even original was badass so this is double-smex. And new ending song is just one of the best of Kyosuke Himuro.

borockman

Let's see....

- Working!
- B gata H kei
- Ichiban bla bla daimaou.

The first two are funnier than I thought.

And I still need to watch that damned Kon!!

I'm rewatching Hajime no Ippo New Challenger. Which i might add is pure unleaded awesome fuel.

Mirby

Well, I'm at the Dark Masters arc of Digimon Adventure 01; I'm downloading Adventure 02, since they're the only two seasons linked narratively (and I don't remember much of it anyways).

That means 14 episodes left to watch. And then 50 for Adventure 02. ^_^

Watched Summer Wars.
This movie... Is brilliant in terms of how technology affecting our lives can really backfire back on us.
It was a great watch.

Also started Valkyria Chronicles.
So far... Nothing much since it has only been the first 2 eps... XD

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

borockman

Finally someone who watched the awesomecity named Summer Wars.
