Having watched Dragon Ball Super and reread the Buu Saga, I really don't like how they potray and having always Goku finishing every single and at the same time wasting a lot of time in Super.
In Buu Saga, everyone was so desperate to kill Buu and I recall Goku even regret not finishing Fat Buu when he should have. And when Buu finally got he's Super form, Goku himself admitted he can't beat Super Buu in his current state and had to leave it to Goten and Trunks, but even that failed because Gotenks wasted too much time when they could've just straight way vaporize him when they could have. Just gonna skip to the end, Goku is forced to rely on everyone just to kill Buu and I kinda like that, even Hercule had character progression throughout it but in the end Goku was the one who finished the job as always(minus Cell saga in which Gohan killed off Cell in the end).
Every single [parasitic bomb] that happened start from Cell saga was because the character flaw who are so powerful are so egoistic, bullshitting and dragging their tail around that they deserved to get whooped in the ass in the end.
And then we have Dragon Ball Super, Goku's always stays super excited on fighting every single strong people which always drags out even against Frieza. Tbh I don't really see him do that much in Z, or I just kinda forgot. I feel like any character development in Buu Saga was just lost. Dragon Ball Super to me is always about power up-ing and OH IM SO EXCITED I WANNA FIGHT STRONG PEOPLE which is starting to get boring. Goku forcing Monaka to fight him was just painful to watch if you ask me even if it's just a misunderstanding.
Also God Saiyan Goku and Beerus clashing cosmic shacking punch was like the most boring and draggiest thing I've ever watched in a shonen anime.
