Posted on: June 21, 2009, 06:21:49Well, dunno how much of ya still care, but we now know a bit more! Information relating to Release Dates, that is.

Japanese gamers can look forward to their first date with Bayonetta October 29th.

However, everybody else will have to wait til sometime in January 2010.

While a bit sad, let's be honest; a game like this, as great as it stands to be, would likely get utterly Steamrolled by the competition that stands to come out around the same time. So, for the sake of America, at least, this is a good move.

But for guys like me? I may have to import another release. And the fact that the JP ver. may stand to come with an interesting pre-order bonus doesn't help.

Reserve the game at certain store chains over there, and before the release you'll receive "Rodin's Selection," a special soundtrack CD packaged with a pamphlet inside a neato-looking case, set up to look like a menu from the bar that Bayonetta's partner-in-crime Rodin runs.

The exact contents of the CD are a mystery, Sega only stating that it includes "sounds hand-picked by Rodin himself."

For those of us not keeping up, Rodin is the designated "black man" that you may have seen in some of the trailers. I'm hoping both he and Jeanne may end up being playable characters, with their own playstyles. Or at least, certainly with Rodin. Can't imagine a brutha, who's bald, no less, getting practically nekkid and summoning [parasitic bomb].

it's not solving the problem, though. now instead of every big name title coming out around Thanksgiving, it's going to be closer to Valentines Day. more games need to be released in late spring early summer. we still haven't gotten out of this drought yet.

Agreed to that as well though. More companies need to start realizing that summer is both easier on the wallets to schedule around and prime game buying time.

i'd say pretty likely.

Probably would rely heavily on if Sega thinks it's worth the time and money to do as such.

I mean, sure, Sega's got as many good people who can do a good PS3 port as well as a PC port, but they probably haven't let the fact that the PC port of DMC4 didn't do so hotly slip by them. That could be a possible deterrent, especially for such a "new IP" like Bayonetta.

We have the first 30 minutes of what looks to be the undisputed Queen of Action Games this generation folks and it is piping hot. Handle with caution!

I don't think I need to add anything, the videos speak for themselves! Haters owned, this game kicks the [parasitic bomb] out of anything else out there.

At this point, half the fun is the cheesy and cheekiness of the game. The personality already sold me on the game months ago, but God damn, the action is magnificent. Like seriously, that first playable cinematic made me think of Super Mario Galaxy and Devil May Cry 3 all at the same time. My mind can't pocess so much good in one place at the same time.

And like Black Baron before him, Rodin is also a bad-ass. Clover seems to think that bad-ass bruthas have the "God Hand" gene in 'em!

I hope he's an unlockable playable. ^_^

I wouldn't be surprised. Bayonetta really went all out for the gag appeal route. Not saying that's bad though.
