I think we all had these moments once in a while. When people use phones to actually speak to them. When people got up to change the channel, When people have to settle for dirt for dinner.
This is not supposed to be a bash on the new generation. It's just... well... did you ever had these moments.
It seems that the new generation of young gamers(less than 14) are more interested in mature games, wrestling games, and hip, trendy stuff. When I show them a gameplay of KOFXI for PS2, they looked at it in disgust and called if fakey and didn't like the sprites.
Is it me or do kids of this generation show no respect of classic gaming?
Lol, I say "Back in my day" all the time. Its a bad habit. My friend gets angry at me because were the same age and I talk and act as if I were like 80 years old. XD
Also, it depends on the person i guess. Some respect it, others are too busy with their Halo and Gears of War and space marines to care. And anything else is crap to them. :B
Them Youngsters and their MaWa 2. They know nothing of beat-em ups like Scott Pilgrim.
Well, back in the day Controllers only had 6 Buttons and games were usually more simple (If more Vague, due to programming).
Doesn't mean I can't adapt. I'm not like my parents who stopped playing fun games in '94 to start playing those Casual games.
Back in my day the Gameboy only had 4 buttons.
Back in my day the main console came with a robot. (okay, so slightly before my day)
Back in my day, Controllers had WIRES leading back to the console!

Yes and they were also half an inch thick.
Back in my day we would get games for free with our consoles that weren't crappy budget titles, tech demos, or Demo Discs.
Nowadays we get a few little trials to make you pay to play the full game.
Back in my day, difficulty settings and sound tests came standard with most games!
Back in my day there was no easy mode.
Hey, I meant hard mode and such. Now you need to pay for more difficultys. It's kinda dumb.
Back in my day, when we bought a game, we got the complete game.

Why back in MY day the only way to know about a game was EGM or Nintendo Power. I think some other magazine, but it sucked.
And nickles had bumblebees on them, give me five bees for a quarter, you'd say. So anyways, I was walking along with an onion on my belt-which was the style back then...
INNERNETS?

We all thought he was really mysterious and cool, so we would always follow him around the place and listen to him talk. Then one day he started acting stranger than usual. We got really worried about him, but he just invited us over for dinner a little later and told us it was all cool, he was going somewhere better. Last I heard of him he got arrested. Don't know what for, but I didn't see him again. I heard some people telling us they saw him around the place, but I reckon they were just smoking something weird. Back in my day, we didin't have 3D movies. Good times, but now 'three dee this three dee imax lol that'.
I cannot [tornado fang]ing stand how every movie has to be in 3D nowadays. And most of them are just as bad as they were in the 80's, serving no point but to show off 3D, and when transferred to Home Video loses any bit of charm it had. Back in my day, the most plot a video game needed was "You're the hero, kill the big bad without dying."
Back then, when I needed info on a game or cartoon character, I usually wound up in a fansite with "facts" about the character. There was no Wiki back then (at least, that I know of at the time).
And on top of that, game systems were barely fragile like the wimpy DS Lite is. It may be sturdy, yes, but it actually has some weakspots. There were some reports of it's contents would melt on contact with fire, too.
Along with that, we had to use our imagination to develop our tall tales, with the occasion of twisting other's reports to make a better story.
That's also the time when we had no computers and had to guess what the dinosaurs looked like with our brains and had to guess where each bone went and what time period was it from.

Back in my day, people didn't intentionally antagonize others for their own amusement and act innocent when they were called out on it.
This is what I mean when I say you ask for it Mirby. You can't help but shove your ugly face in it every single time.
You deserve everything that is thrown your way for being stupid enough to put yourself in the position to get it in the first place.
I only do it cause I see you attacking other members too.
Perhaps I do deserve it for sticking up for others. But I realized that I'll gladly continue to do so no matter how many insults and derogatory remarks you make towards me, if it means standing up for someone else.
I can't just ignore it, nor can I forget it. Not when I see it happening right in front of me; that's just not how I am, and to do so would be to go against everything I believe in.
Well good for you but you're always the one who whines about it the most in the end so whatever. If you really want to throw yourself into something you know will just upset you, well, that's stupid. You're stupid.
Except I won't let it upset me anymore.

Back in my day... Teachers were supposed to know how to properly spell the words on the spelling test.
Once again, Mt. Holly Springs Elementary has disappointed me. My niece's teacher marked her correct spelling of "slimy" wrong, saying it was spelled "slimey." I convinced my sister-in-law to send a note to the teacher, proving her wrong and asking her to correct this oversight. If this was done with my niece's spelling test, it no doubt happened to other students' tests.
What the hell happened? In my day, teachers were supposed to teach the students. Now all it is is teaching to the test. The damn PSSA tests rule the education system and no one actually learns anything. It's memorization of niggly things in order to pass a damn test.

Actually looking at the picture closer I notice it's multiple pieces of bread instead of one connected piece of bread, that makes more sense.

Yeah he was, though I imagine those eating contests must take a toll on those people later.
