The original Iron Chef was great, too.
Much better than Iron Chef America, IMO.
I don't remember too much about the Original Iron Chef to be honest, though honestly a lot of the shows on Food Network are too similar I find. Restaurant Stakeout and Mystery Diners might as well be the same, the only difference is that Stakeout is longer so I feel I like Mystery Dinners better.
On the Rocks, Restaurant Divided, and, to a degree, Restaurant Stakeout feel like spin-offs to Restaurant Impossible which I don't really like to watch since I liked Dinner Impossible better, I mean for a show about fixing Restaurants Robert is probably the best person for the job, but I was more entertained with Dinner Impossible.
While I like competitions I feel that there are too many at the moment and Iron Chef might be better off as a once in a while thing like Food Network Challenge is now. Don't get me wrong I love Chopped, Cupcake Wars, and Cut Throat Kitchen but after a while it gets boring to me.
I still like Triple D and Unwrapped and Thieves Inc is interesting but I always miss it.
The shows I miss, along with Dinner Impossible and Good Eats, were Throw Down with Bobby Flay and Ace of Cakes.
