I'd name a female one Esmy, the nickname of Emsyrelda from Cryamore since she kinda looks like a gender-bent Django.

How the heck is Snowpix going to evolve?

I don't think so since it's not part Water and besides Eevee they kind of have to be at least part Water.  Shiny Stone might be possible, I don't think it would be the Dawn Stone since that seems to do more with Gender based Branching Evolutions.

Or maybe it's another location based one like Glaceon.

And that's assuming it's not a new evolution method.

I'm still having trouble thinking of what to name my Snowpix, I mean I can't think of a good counterpart to Kit-Kat. I mean Klondike is out of the question because it fits Beartic too much, and I don't think Creamsicle is good enough.

Alola Ninetales is my instant favorite Fairy type.  If I do nickname it, it'll probably be Nailah for a female or Lunaedge for male.

I'm also curious about how well an Ice/Steel Sandslash would perform.  As lousy a defensive typing as Ice is, coupling it with Steel works great since it only compounds Steel's existing weaknesses instead of adding new ones.  I could definitely see it as being a mean Ice Shard user.

Yeah the only thing we have for Alola Sandshrew and Sandslash is that they are described as slower but bulkier.  I just hope those descriptions are accurate and not as erroneous as Skarmory and Escavalier. 

I mean I would think the Rotomdex wouldn't lie right?

Either way I'm very interested in training a Alola Sandslash after the main game.

Because Kit-Kat is type of candy like York but York is a peppermint patty which tastes refreshing (and had that IT'S LIKE I'M ON THE TOP OF A MOUNTAIN ad campaign because the taste was so cool temperature-wise).

Eh I might go with Peppermint instead since York sounds like it should be a name for a Stouland.   Since they are from New York/Unova and I think Herdier looks like a Yorkshire Terrier in a way.

Also the Secret of Rockruff will finally be revealed in the next issue.  I hope the second stage of the Starters get revealed soonish.

EDIT: Some flavor text for Alola Meowth and Marrowak though obviously incomplete until it ends up on the official Pokemon Website.

Alolan Meowth developed after being bred by the royal family of Alola. Alolan Marowak developed in response to its natural predators in order to resist them.

Though I have to wonder what the hell was hunting Marrowak to make them become part Ghost......

EDIT 2: I just now read that the Antagonist Team is called Team Skull, can't believe I missed that when I skimmed Serebii.
