So now... Everyone can have 6IV Pokemon without breeding... Depending on how difficult Bottle Caps are found.

... JAMES COULD HAVE DOMINATED WITH HIS BOTTLE CAP COLLECTION

Anyways, the new Abilities are as follows:
Wimp Out - If HP drops below half, the Pokemon will fled (wild), or switch out (trained)
Fluffy - Direct contact moves only deal half damage, but effectively gains a Fire weakness.
Stamina - Defense goes up 1 stage per attack received.
Triage - Restorative moves get increased priority.
Disguise - Prevents damage from ONE attack.

Also, Mudsdale gets a new Ground-type move, which is used in the video called Highhorse Power.

... BEWEAR!!

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Oh wow Mimikyu's cry actually sounds like a ghostly Pikachu cry.  The poor thing tries so hard. O^O

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Sakura Leic

Those things are going to be annoying to catch, hopefully we'll get Quick Balls by the time we encounter them.

But yeah I think I definitely want to get a Mudsdale, still haven't decided if I want to use Mimikyu but we have to see more Fairy Pokemon, though having one with 3 Immunities and a Free Substitute is rather tempting.

I do feel sorry for Bounsweet though, poor little bouncing Mangosteen. :'(

So.....lots of stuff here, and you're looking at some new variations of Kanto Pokemon in that screenshot for the Japanese video.

The latest trailer for Pokémon Sun & Moon has been released by The Pokémon Company. This trailer reveals a lot of new Pokémon and features in the game. First they reveal Alola Forms. These are new variations of classic Pokémon. Exeggutor is Grass/Dragon with the ability Frisk
Vulpix and Ninetales are Ice and Ice/Fairy with the ability Snow Cloak
Sandshrew and Sandslash are Ice/Steel with the ability Snow Cloak
There are new Pokémon.; First is Oricorio with four different forms, Fire/Flying, Electric/Flying, Psychic/Flying and Ghost/Flying. Its ability is Dancer which copies dance moves.
Minior is Rock/Flying with the ability Shields Down
Yungoos' evolution is called Gumshoos.
Two new Pokémon are Formantis and its evolution Lurantis. They have the abilities Leaf Guard and the new move Solar Blade
Mudsdale's pre-evolution is the Ground-type Mudbray with Own Tempo and Stamina
You can ride various Pokémon using PokéRide which allows for you to travel on top of your Pokémon like Charizard & Sharpedo
Z-Moves are utilising the special bracelet that trainers have. The Z-Ring fits on a Trainer's arm, and Z-Crystals are set into it. If a Pokémon holds the same variety of Z-Crystal, the two will be able to resonate with one another. Crystals that correspond to each Pokémon type have been found in the Alola region. There are two conditions for performing Z-Moves: a Pokémon must learn a move of the same type as a Z-Crystal, and it must be holding the corresponding Z-Crystal. When you see these moves in action in the game, each overwhelmingly powerful move will be on full display, filling the entire screen! A special bit of merchandise for a Z-Ring will also be released which will light up in tandem with use on Sun & Moon
I know right, seriously how the hell is that not on purpose!
Also I wonder if those trials are replacing Gyms.

The way the video introduced the trials, it feels like the Orange League.

Yeah I was totally thinking that too, though I'm surprised it wasn't a bug type.

It looks very insectlike, which leaves me confused.  Even the name has "mantis" in it.

Dr. Wily II

They will most likely still give it Bug moves like X-Scissor... And since Solar Blade is a physical move... Most likely it will have good Attack.

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

I think I want to have Snowpix on my team, however I'm trying to figure out which frozen treat to name them since I name my Vulpix and Nintales Kit-Kat.

I like that Solar Blade is just Squall's move Blasting Zone from FF8 lol

Also love the regional variants. Especially since I love playing Pokemon Randomizers so new types on old Pokemon is great.

Frostshrew and Frostslash are also tanky as hell with that Ice/Steel typing. They take 1/2 damage from Normal, Flying, Grass, Psychic, Bug, Dragon, and Fairy while taking 1/4 damage from Ice. Sure they're 4x weak to Fire and Fighting (and 2x to Ground) but that's still a hefty amount of types to be resistant to.

Also love the idea of the Island Trials, and the Kahuna Battles seem to be the closest thing to Gym Battles we're getting this gen. And Z-Moves look fun to use, and hilariously OP.

Sakura Leic

Yeah it's like they took Solar Beam, solidified it, and turned it into a Giant Sword that takes 2 turns to lift and attack with.
