The Mana-Verse

[Fxeni]

"I'm not sure this is the best of ideas but..." Fxeni said as he held Calien. "Riagan! Is there some way for you to keep yourself grounded before you join the chain?"

[Quickman]

Riagan lashed his cloak around his waist and to a sturdy pillar.  Bracing himself, he grabbed hold of Fxeni. "Pull!"

[Fxeni]

Fxeni grunted as he began to pull on Calien, hoping this plan would work.

[Phi]

With the Prof and Toshi latched onto the staff, Pema heaved as hard as she could, using all her strength to pull them out.

[Quickman]

The Professor popped out of the slime like a grape, covered in goop.  Panting a bit, he wiped the slime off his face and looked at the slime covering his body. "Well... it appears I procured my sample after all..."

[Phi]

"Well, he's a tenacious one, I'll give him that..." Salem stated as he watched the Professor go right back to studying the samples.

Suddenly, Pema leaped at the Prof and hugged him. "My poor slimy Professor Cuddles..."

"I'm honestly a little surprised this worked." Salem said with a chuckle.

[Sakura Leic]

(And then the Slime detaches itself from the Prof  forming a smaller Slime and we get a pet Slime that thinks the Prof is its Daddy.)

[Quickman]

((Suddenly... slimy Peam))

The Professor returned the hug. "Occupational, occupation hazard, I'm afraid.  M-my, my, my scientific studies m-may have gotten the better of me..."

Scraping a sample off of his robe, he put it in the vial and tucked it away.  It was a viscous and sticky slime and proved difficult to remove from his clothes.  The slime left a tacky, gummy residue on his face and hands, and his eyelids kept sticking together.

[Phi]

Pema squirmed a bit when she noticed her clothing. "Eww, haha, yuck!" With a small giggle, she lifted up her sleeves to reveal how slimy she was.

She hummed a soft tune as she scrapped off the slime from her dress, and helped the Prof remove some off his hands.

[Blue Valkyrie]

Aya sighed as she helped Toshi stand after being pulled from the goo "That was a little too close for comfort." Aya reaches into her pack and offers a towel to Toshi who is as slimy now as the others.

Meanwhile the mass of black liquid still remains a father big obstacle to reaching the flame at the center of the room!

[Mr. Haxwell]

Toshi - "I feel so... violated. I can't tell which is worse; having freaks stalking you all day, or having a thick liquid subtance spilled all over you." She ranted on.

[Blue Valkyrie]

"I'd imagine drowning in slime would be worse--perhaps the town has a bathhouse we can use once we unfreeze everyone."

[Sakura Leic]

(I thought everyone was unfrozen off screen but recovering.  Also TENK did you really have to mention that first line?)

[Mr. Haxwell]

(Then what do you suggest me to describe how Toshi feeling uncomfortable, in her current situation? Or is the word squicky, too squicky for you to handle?)

[Sakura Leic]

(Just leave the 'I feel violated' part and omit the rest of the line after her wiping off the slime.  That part I really don't think needs to be implied.  Otherwise it's fine.)

[Phi]

(Okay, okay, let's please not start another argument.)

[Sakura Leic]

(Sorry about that, I just felt it was too TMI. )

[Mr. Haxwell]

(There, it's fixed. Feeling better now?)

With his newly-acquired slime sample, the Professor scraped off a bit and placed it on the floor a fair distance from the main blob.  He then attempted to set the slime alight with his torch.

[Phi]

Pema held Salem in front of her face, in case the slime exploded.

"I feel so loved." Salem said dryly.

[Fxeni]

Fxeni observed the slime that the Prof touched with the torch, curious to see what happens.

((Well Aya theorized getting the Omni-Shard under control might speed it up))

[Sakura Leic]

(I didn't really remember Aya saying anything like that, I only remember her saying that the blizzard won't go away until we get the Omni Shard.  I was talking about the work that Hellhound was doing in the town before we went to the temple.)
