(We pulled Toshi and Prof out of the Smile after they fell but we still need to deal with the big Slime.  Prof is trying to burn some to see what reaction it would have.)

"We need to find away across this slime--anyone have any ideas? I mean I could try to glide there and back with the torch if someone let me jump from their shoulders?"

((Oh hell, I'll figure out what happens to the slime.))

The flame touched the slime blob and set it alight.  It shriveled and melted and produced a thick plume of oily smoke.  The burning slime smelled horrible as it bubbled and finally, it expanded and exploded into a putrid burst of hot slime.

"Well, it apparently reacts to fire..." the Professor nodded as he fanned the air.

"It smells worse than the mushrooms." Sakura said as she covered her nose.

"Hmm I kind of wonder what happens if you freeze it." Calien pondered "Perhaps it would freeze long enough to get across?"

[Dr. Wily II]

(... Why did I imagine the slime screaming in agony as it was burning? D:)

((It screeched with the haunting sound of escaping steam.  And then it blew up like a balloon and exploded.))

"Did someone say freeze?" Pema desisted on using her staff as a shield and raised it high.

"Oh, am I no longer your hostage?" Salem chimed in.

"Yeah, sorry about that, Salem..." She laughed sheepishly, rubbing her neck.

"Yes, I was curious about what would happen." Calien replied.

[Phi]

Pema aimed her staff at the slime and fired an icy mist spell. A flurry of frigid cold wind and ice showered the slime.

(I should leave it to Blue to decide what happens.)

The spell seems to have the effect Pema intended and the slime begins to freeze on the effect area.
