((Going to zombie everyone for a moment.))

Prof and Aya lead the party into the open door and down another dark hall, after a few minutes they enter another large room, the new area had a thin walkway around the outside of the room, enough for one person to stand while the rest of the room dipped down one floor and was filled with an odd black liquid like substance. At the center was a raised platform and on it was a blue flame.

( Muhahaha have fun!  )

[Sapphire Knight]

Shuu looked at the black liquid in the room. "Well... That's kinda... Ominous..." He said, bringing a long, wooden staff from his chest gem and cautiously poking it into the liquid to see if something would happen.

[Fxeni]

"Sure hope that isn't flammable, or else we'll have to be careful..." Fxeni said as he looked down at the black liquid.

[Blue Valkyrie]

The liquid clung to the staff as if it was trying to pull it down, Aya managed to grab Shuu's arm just in time to prevent the unsuspecting warrior for being pulled over.

"Okay, thats not just water." Aya commented once Shuu had regained his stability.

[Sakura Leic]

"Seems to be some type of Slime creature." Calien stated.

[Phi]

"Or perhaps some sort of substance that feeds on matter?" Salem pondered aloud.

Pema stared at the liquid. "That kinda seems scarier than it being a creature..."

[Sakura Leic]

"At least you've never seen a Slime eat its prey." Calien shuddered.

(I kinda wanted to add a line from Sakura about a Slime eating a squirrel but I think that might be too much.)

[Quickman]

The Professor crouched down close to the slime in order to get a better look.  Rummaging through his bag, he found a scoop and an empty vial and proceeded to reach out to get a sample.

[Mr. Haxwell]

Toshi - "Be careful, Professor." she tries to warn him, "It's not safe to touch that."

[Blue Valkyrie]

As the professor reaches down the black liquid reacted to his close proximity, a tendril of slime whipped out around his arm and suddenly pulled him in!

((Quickie you make it so easy  Don't worry this isn't the slime from the Blob movie so no flesh melting!))

(So he's already in and we can't pull him out?)

[Blue Valkyrie]

(Depends how you try to save him  )

[Dr. Wily II]

(I like this new development. )

(And the Prof seems to be Too Dumb to Live.....)

Toshi - "Hang on Professor, I'm coming to save you!" she rushed in, grabbing a hold of whatever part of the Professor was grab-able, attempting to pull him free from the slime monster.

(I dunno. I feel like having Toshi get dragged with him. )

[Blue Valkyrie]

Toshi's intention while good only served to get her dragged into the goo as well! Both find it hard to move at all as it seems to try and pull them down!

[Mr. Haxwell]

Grifter - "No good. It's too strong! You got to break loose."

Toshi - "No!" she shouted pulling in vain, as she was being dragged in "We can't lose the Professor. Not like this!" she struggled.

[Phi]

Thinking fast, Pema crouched down and extended out her staff to them. "Ms. Toshi! Professor! Here, grab onto Salem, and I'll try to pull you out!"

Of course, Pema was far too small to support the weight of two people, so Salem piped up.

"Someone, grab hold of Pema while she tries to pull Toshi and the Professor out! Then, someone else grab hold of that person, and so forth! We need everyone to use their weight and pull them out together!" Salem proclaimed to the group.

(Basically, I see this as a quicksand situation, and Salem is the "stick" used to pull them out. And everyone participating is like tug-of-war, in a way. )

"Gotcha!" Sakura nodded as she grabbed hold of Pema and Calien grabbed hold of Sakura.
