After a few tries, the Professor finally clawed his way out of the hole.  His bandages were shredded by rock and clay, and his exposed fingertips were bloodied.  Pulling himself up, he hung onto the edge of the hole with his arms and took in the sight before him.

Everyone was fighting a massive demonic cave rat.

The Professor glanced over his shoulder at the chasm behind him and wondered if staying in the hole was a safer bet.

(I think this might be thw perfect opening for Riagan.)

Seeing as the beast was open Riagan proceeded to use the Pick side of his hammer to strike the beast.

[Phi]

(Didn't we establish that Quickie was commandeering Riagan?)

[Quickman]

((I was going to wait until after this scene.  I don't like taking characters mid-scene.))

[Sakura Leic]

((Mine is more akin to a halberd.  And who has Riagan currently?  Should I just take him?))

(I'll keep him.)

"I have never seen such a beast before!" Riagan roared before charging in with his hammer.

(There's your answer.)

[So, who else hasn't taken a turn before the greater daemon shakes off the shock?]

(Shouldn't that Ice Fang I shot a few posts ago hit it by now?  And we still got Peam, Toshi, and Blue but she probably won't post until tomorrow.)

[Oh, I thought Sakura was getting ready rather than actually attacking. o3o; ]

(No I did attack, I fired a wave of Ice at it called an Ice Fang.  Think of it like a Ice version of Demon Fang from the Tales of Series or that Ice Attack you get from the Wolf Maverick in Megaman Zero 4 if you fight him in a weather setting that's to his advantage.)

(There's your answer.)

((After this scene, I'll take Riagan off your hands, if you want.  He'll end up being a composite of Dwarven tropes in my hands, but hey. ))

(I was referring to this, Sakura; to which, you agreed.

In any case, after the battle, I suppose. And Pema can't fight efficiently with a sprained ankle. She'll have to sit this out.

She'll be fine the next day, however.)

(I know that, but I decided to take him for battle as you can see with the time stamp.  We all got confuzzled to be honest.)

((I was going to wait until after Sapph's intro, which I figured was part of the scene.  I'll take Riagan after this battle.  Prof can't fight at the moment, so he's hanging out in a hole and watching.))

(Okay I'm fine with that since the Prof can't do anything.)

[Sapph's official intro won't be coming until after the fight.]

Toshi - "Let's see if this works." she quickly forms a set of handsigns: Tiger → Rat → Horse → Snake → Dragon... ending it off with a clap of her hands... "Suiton: Suidanha!!" she spews a high pressure stream of water from her mouth, aimed directly for whatever part of the beast, that she could consider its neck, following up Fxeni's attack from earlier.

((I was going to go to bed, but now I just want to draw Toshi using Hydro Pump.))

(Needs some surfing, with her Ronginasu no Yari as the surfboard.

I kind wonder if I should of shape her tail, like your Azurill/Marill/Azumarill shaped tail. This kinda hit me when her familiars were Pokémon, so I thought; why not make her a supple anthro-looking Azumarill.)

((Well, I sketched up a quick pic, so I'm going to bed.  Character designs can wait until after I get some sleep.))

((Sorry not going to be able to post much today either, work is eating up all my time. *sighs*))

Aya summoned the goddess blade and slashed at the demon's limbs to keep it off balance while the others went in for the kill. "Demon...?" She muttered as attacked.

((Since demons are a thing in Arcadia now I assume the Arcadians/Precursors knew they existed if they ruled the world for 1000+ years.))

[Sapphire Knight]

The daemon stumbled from the onslaught of attacks, none of them hitting it's vital point, mainly because it remained hunched over, protecting it's throat.

"Tch, this is going to be an endurance battle, isn't it?" The armored man grumbled, stabbing at the massive daemon's limbs with Aya in hopes it could reveal the monster's throat.

Meanwhile, the very tip of the daemon's long, armored tail was draped in the pit it burst from, in easy reach of the professor, an unarmored spot exposed.

[Sakura Leic]

"Ugh why does this thing have to have such a specific weak point!" Sakura growled as she tried throwing Ice Enchanted Kunais at its thigh to hopefully get it to stop hunching over.

(Let's just say Sakura is still close to where the Prof is since she's using a long range strategy.  That way if the Prof can't attack the tail in his situation/status, due to his hands Sakura can give him a Kunai.)

[Quickman]

((He's still in a hole and pretty much in shock.))

The Professor watched, realizing that he not only left his bag in his quarters, but his new polearm was over by the airship.  Finally pulling himself out of the hole, he bent, grabbed a chunk of rock and earth, and chucked it at the creature's butt.

(Huh I read that as the tail was somehow in the hole he was in for some reason.

[The tip of the tail is in the hole, yes.]

"Daemons are immortal and can only be 'slain' by destroying to their seals! And this one's only remaining one is on it's throat!" The armored man shouted, a ball of light focusing on the tip of his lance before he flung it at the daemon's face.

As the constant attacks continued, the daemon reared back slightly to expose it's throat for a moment. Only long enough to see that there was a glowing symbol on it.

[Yeah, sorta making this video game-ish, but hey, it's a reason for why it has such a specific weak spot.]
