Quickman

"Oh," the Professor nodded and did as he was told.  He felt a strong buzzing feeling, which he assumed was his mana being attuned, and the shard glowed briefly.  When instructed, he withdrew the shard and tucked it into a robe pocket.

Sakura Leic

Calien and Sakura were wandering around the area with Calien answering Sakura's questions when asked varying from the concept of religion and other things related.

Riagan had also done as instructed, but didn't infer if he felt any odd sensations.  If he did, he concluded it to be gas and simply tucked the shard away.

Blue Valkyrie

Aya wanders to the back of the temple near the doors and climbs up to the podium frowning she glanced down what seemed like a hole leading deep into the mountain before glancing up and confirming her theory about the shard. "Hmm-seems like it came down here, guess we will be heading into the sealed ruins after all."

Fxeni

"Perhaps it was drawn here? If so, it might make hunting down the remaining shards easier," Fxeni wondered aloud as he looked down the hole.

Blue Valkyrie

"It's possible--hmm if thats true then the shard may be at locations of Arcadian importance or at least areas made by the gods hmm." Aya nodded.

"Everyone head up stairs and leave your gear you don't need, careful of the hole; once we are ready I'll lead us down to the seal."

Quickman

Riagan headed up to deposit some things, but the Professor stayed behind.  He deemed everything in his bag to be useful, and had no intention of leaving it behind.  "I do b-believe that I am adequately prepared, yes."

Blue Valkyrie

Aya nodded to the professor before moving downstairs to the back door and slowly pushed it open, awaiting the others to prepare.

Sakura Leic

Calien and Sakura followed Riagan so they could deposit their books and other things like Calien's flute, a strange mask and other miscellaneous items.

Pema discarded some of the gear upstairs, then climbed back down.

"Okay, all set and ready to go." Pema crouched and stretched out her legs.

Salem floated in front of her. "Wait, there's still this strange girl that goes everywhere with me. I think I should leave her upstairs." He said in a joking manner.

"Stop that, silly!" She giggled and lightly slapped her hand against him.

Sapphire Knight

Shuu didn't bother going upstairs to deposit his things, as they were stored in the amulet on his chest. "I am fully prepared for whatever may be down there."

Mr. Haxwell

Toshi - "No need for me to drop anything." she said, knowing that all she's carrying in her pouch are her spear's segments, two potions, and a few kunai, "Got everything right here." she patted her pouch.

Fear me.

Fxeni

Fxeni walked over and quietly took off some of his winter gear and left it with the rest. He then wandered back over to where he was.

Blue Valkyrie

((Assuming everyone is ready))

Aya leads the party down below through a spiral stair case, as they approach the burnt out torches they spring to life with magic blue flame giving them a decent field of vision. After fifteen minutes they reach the bottom floor and stand before another large door.

"Here we are--I had hopped not to return here but I suppose there is no choice." Aya mumbles to herself.

The door is odd compared to the rest of the temple, the symbols carved into it are not of anything the professor or other academic minded member of the party have ever seen in Arcadian ruins. The symbols show creatures that look simply alien compared to even the most unusual monster.

Mr. Haxwell

Toshi - "Anyone have an idea what these hieroglyphs mean?" her attention was more focused on the creature-like symbols, "These don't look like the kind of hierogplyphs, my ancients use to write." she quipped.

Fear me.

Blue Valkyrie

"I'm not sure, the past of my culture was not something I ever had a chance to study." Aya shakes her head "I--have never been inside, just seen the creatures that lurk within."

Sakura Leic

"What kind of creatures are we talking about?" Sakura asked.

The Professor was studying the hieroglyphs closely as they descended into the catacombs.  He lagged behind the group, busying himself with taking rubbings and writing notes.

Ahead of him and with the group, Riagan took notice. "It would be wise if you stayed with us.  The writings aren't important."

"But, but, but, they are!  We must know what they mean!  If, if, if I recall, if I recall, in some locales, there are temple guardians, and, and, and they have riddles and puzzles, and we should know the writings, as they could, they could b-be warnings.  We should know what we're up against!" The Professor protested.

Phi

Pema groaned, "I'm not very good at puzzles... but, I think the Professor is right. I mean, aren't you the least bit interested in what they mean, Mr. Riagan?"

Sakura Leic

"I agree with the Prof." Calien stated "If even Aya hasn't been beyond the door it would be wise to figure out what the writings mean.  Not to mention if this place is like the Temples and Dungeons in my homeland....the puzzles will be very complex."

Mr. Haxwell

Toshi - "The Professor does make a point here; no guardian in some folklores, that I've read, are something a fool-hearted explorer should simply ignore."

Fear me.

Blue Valkyrie

"They were neither chaos beasts, monster or animal they were something older; all I can say is keep your wits and do not trust everything you see."

Quickman

"This—" the Professor pointed at a particular set of glyphs "—this, here.  This says 'beware.'  If I can decipher the rest, if I can decipher the rest, we'll know of what we should b-beware."

Riagan was silent for a moment, but then nodded. "Very well, then.  Don't lag too far.  You'll get lost."

((I'm having some trouble keeping track of Riagan.  What say we pass him around for a bit?  Like every couple days or so, someone else takes him for a bit?))

Sakura Leic

(I think I can take care of that, I'll PM PB for help if needed.)
