A new script has been added, it's a simple one but it basically lets me use skill commands on the main combat menu over a typical skill menu. Doesn't sound like much on it own but it does help show how combat is gonna work.
Credit to "姫HimeWorks" and "Yanfly" for these scripts thus far-i'll be giving credit to anyone who directly or indirectly helped with this or even just offered their characters for cameos.
All characters will have a unique "Normal Attack" that normally is free to use (some exceptions like Pema's that cost SP), three skills that normally help assist the character be as effective at their role as possible; these skills can cost SP and some will have "cooldowns" before they can be used again. Finally there are "Ultimates" Ultimate skills require the Ultimate bar to fill to 100 (either by getting damaged, inflicting damage or simply getting new turns) before they can be used-they typically have great effect.
Characters are split into three categories. Assault (Deals damage), Tank (Takes damage for the party), Support (heals allies or debuffs enemies.
An example of this battle system would be...
Blue (Assault)
-----
Normal Attack: "Pummel" (Deals damage based off of P.Atk versus P.Def)
Skill 1: "Snap Punch" (Deals light damage and reduces the target's P.Def for five turns) - 25 Sp
Skill 2: "Touch of Death" (Deals light damage and inflicts 2% dmg for seven turns) - 15 Sp
Skill 3: "Feather Foot" (Raises Blue's dodge by 50% for three turns.) - 20 Sp (5 turn cool down)
Ultimate: "Unleash Potential" (Raises Blue's P.Atk and critical hit rate by 50% for five turns)
Blue - Assault (still considering how to implement her transformation or if that will even be in her power set in the first game)
Pema - Assault
Professor - Support
Sephh - Tank
Florance - Support.
Ideally I would like to have at least 3 characters of each role but thats not at the top of my list of things to do right now.
Other scripts added right now are some small things like the ability to multi target some spells like in Final Fantasy 1-9, showing enemy health bars, making the battle system look a little better in first person. Showing the time remaining on all status/buffs as well as any stacking, skill cooldowns, and updated Victory screens.
Will have a party system implemented soon.
