"Yeah can you take a look at this Pendulum to see if somehow that Hypno is channeling Psychic energy or something? I always like to have a healthy amount of paranoia since I never assume that things are as they seem." Sakura stated.

"Sure," Mewtwo nodded, took the pendulum, and turned away.

Twoey watched him and shrugged. "Not so great a fashion accessory after all, huh?"

"I do that," Twoey nodded. "It makes me feel better. What's the point of freaking out over every little thing when there's little you can do to change it? You just run yourself ragged, and at the end of the day, that thing you were worried about is still there and you're all worn out like an old shoe."

Mewtwo turned around after taking a long moment to scrutinize the pendulum. "It is a conduit. It is used as a focusing lens, much like an Alakazam uses spoons. I do not need a focusing object, as my powers manifest differently, through a complex nervous system. You have seen my gestures; that is how I focus my abilities. Without doing that, they can--and will--rage wildly out of control." He handed the pendulum back to Sakura. "However, like other focusing objects, it helps if the user is holding it. My computer only works if I touch it. It is a conduit and can possess residual energy, but it in and of itself cannot act on its own. What I speculate is going on is that Runaway may have tapped into that residual energy without realizing it. It may have confused him."

"Okay that makes more sense, I'll just keep this with me." Sakura nodded "I'll tell Runaway what has been happening so he can feel better."

She then turned to Twoey.

"I understand your point, and usually I don't with the stuff that Pyro causes and Flora's incompetence, but in this case I just wanted to be sure since I've seen what that Hypno has done, especially to Trak, Joe and that Bug Catcher. In other words it's always good to make sure and get a second opinion especially when you have the means to do so."

Twoey nodded slowly. "Well, I missed that part. Feisty yellow bugger, but that's all I got from it."

Mewtwo was quiet for a moment as he glanced upstairs, then to Trak on the couch with Joe, upstairs again, and then back to Sakura. "You told that girl about what Wily did to his Alakazam, I presume."

"Yeah but not the entire story, I wasn't able to tell her the [parasitic bomb] that Team Rocket did to you when we were flying to Fuchsia city or it's ultimate fate and how it connects to why Wily is evil again and stuff like that." Sakura stated before turning to Twoey.

"Basically that Hypno kidnapped Joe and a Bug Catcher and feasted on their dreams.

From what I got from Joe that Hypno tried to do the same thing to him when he was 6 on Two Island but Joe woke up, Flailed and apparently somehow scarred it. Don't ask me how but somehow an unarmed 6 year old was able to leave a scar. Eventually Wily caught it and released it in Fallarbor town where it was exposed to the Mind Powder and got more [tornado fang]'d up.

He eventually found Joe and did the aforementioned kidnapping and it seems he's been obsessed with Joe since he escaped. According to Joe he was one of the 2 people who have escaped his wrath, the other was a girl named Lostelle who moved away.

Now let me pause this story for a second and talk about Hypnos in general. While Hypno sound pretty damn creepy they actually aren't. They may feast on peoples dreams but they don't do that much harm, the reason they have a bad reputation is because 1 Hypno kidnapped a child. The name of that child was a little girl named Lostelle who was saved by one of the world's strongest Trainers Red. So judging by those 2 correlating points mentioned in reports and by that Hypno itself, he's the reason why Hypnos have a bad rap.

Anyway back to what happened in Route 113, Mr. Zoroark managed to defeat that Hypno and him, the Hypno, Joe and the Bug Catcher were all unconscious. That's when me and Trak found them, while I was waking up Joe and something embarrassing happened, Trak tried to tend to the Hypno's wounds. It eventually woke up and immediately strangled her and wouldn't let go.

He wanted Joe back and was willing to kill Trak but of course there was no way we going to do that so we tried to get him to drop her. Some attacks like Shiva's Ice Beam and that Beautifly's String Shot worked while others didn't either because of his Psychic powers or he tried using Trak as a human shield.

Eventually Trak fell unconscious but with enough distraction Runaway was able to take the pendulum out of his hands, punch him in the head and save Trak before he was burned by Apprentice's Will-O-Wisp. When that was over we tied him up with one of my many Escape Ropes and Trak caught him. Tomorrow I want to send that Hypno to Sabrina because I think she's the only person with the capability to help him.

And that's why I wanted to make sure that the pendulum wasn't some kind of doomsday weapon."

Twoey nodded slowly. "I see. And I know Hypnos aren't bad. That one we met at the Center was nice."

"Unfortunately," Mewtwo spoke up, "that one incident impacted Hypnos as a whole, along with some other incidences. It had gotten quite bad, and in fact," he held up a finger to excuse himself to the kitchenette, where he grabbed a newspaper and brought it over, pointing at an article, "a therapy Hypno was shot outside its trainer's home. It is expected to make a full recovery, but police suspect the shooting was deliberate."

Twoey leaned in to look at it, but his reading skills were sub-par and he couldn't even begin to spell Ladis from how the name was pronounced. Instead, he pointed to the picture of the therapist and the Hypno, an older one used for publicity. "The picture; looks like his trainer. Oh man, someone shot her Hypno? He was old, too. Could word've gotten out about the crazy one?"

"It is possible," Mewtwo nodded, "as there was another party involved in the incident with Joe. Perhaps that Bug Catcher may have said something."

Ladis took a moment to respond. "He was shot twice, one bullet grazed his arm, but the other went through his chest. Punctured his lung, but we expect him to make a full recovery. It happened really fast... he went outside to get something out of the car, and just for a breath of air, and I heard two loud pops, went outside, and found him on the walk."

"Well, earlier on the news, it wasn't much, but there was an update about the missing Bug Catcher from around Fallarbor. They didn't get into much detail, just that he was found." There was a pause. "Might've been more on another news channel, but we didn't hear anything about a Hypno. The police suspect the shooting was deliberate, though. It's under investigation."

"I see..." Sakura sighed "The reason I'm asking was because that Bug Catcher's disappearance was caused by a Hypno so I was wondering if that was the reason. Unless it was just plain Hypno racism which is just as bad."

"We've never had trouble like this, though," Ladis sounded confused and worried. "There have been other reports of these things happening to wild Hypnos, but the agency never encountered this. What would compel someone to do this?"

There was a pause as someone on the other end talked to her. After a moment, Ladis came back on line. "Oh no... I see what you mean. We didn't hear anything before the shooting. They must have given out that detail on another channel or the radio or something. The wrong person was listening at the right time..."

"He's lucky, that's for sure. A couple inches over and he wouldn't have made it," Ladis was quiet for a long moment. "I really don't wish to impose, but since you have a suspicion of a motive, could you contact the police? Give them a tip? It would have more credence coming from you. The police are inspecting the scene, but it was a drive-by. The recovered bullet should help, and when Hypno is able, he might be able to give a description."
