"Third door down from the stairs," Mewtwo pointed to the loft. "I will go get my bag." He stepped away and flew upstairs.

Twoey watched him go. "I'm gonna go follow." He stood and flew upstairs as well, but didn't go into any of the rooms.

Quickie shrugged. "Guess we're doing this now." She started for the stairs. "Oh, the stairs shake a bit and they creak, but they're sturdy. They just sound like they'll fall apart."

"If that Hypno wasn't packing Dazzling Gleam I would suggest giving the Pendulum to Mr. Zoroark so it's Psychic moves wouldn't affect him." Sakura sighed and followed them.

Runaway merely gripped the pendulum in response, frowning. He noticed that when he took the pendulum away, the Hypno had slumped as if its very life was taken away. He doubted that it would try anything in that state, but he preferred to keep the pendulum out of reach regardless. He followed Trak up the creaking steps and to the far bedroom. A three-bedroom loft and only one was used as an actual bedroom, with the second as an office and the third empty except for an end table, lamp, and an air mattress set against the wall.

Joe followed behind the group, visibly worried about what's to come. Zoroark too felt a bit worried. Joe's other Pokemon just merrily skipped along.

"I don't know... Technically, that Escape Rope would hold, I've tasted the bindings before, not easy to wiggle out of. But still... This IS Hypnoker... He tormented me even after all those years..."

"Although I am confident of your skills, we do need to be wary, just in case. This... Hypnoker... Is not to be trifled with."

"We need a game plan," Twoey spoke up once everyone gathered in the room. "I say that once we let this guy out, me and Cuz grab him!"

Mewtwo ignored the new nickname, but nodded in agreement. "That would be the best option. Focus the release between us so we can grab and restrain it. However, for the purpose of acquiring samples, you will need to hold it down yourself."

"Fine with me," Twoey nodded. "I'll put it in a headlock."

Trak stepped back as the two clones got into position. Runaway stood nearby, out of reach, but ready to act. Trak raised the Premier Ball and released Hypnoker, who was immediately grabbed and held tight by both Mewtwo and Twoey the very second he appeared.

Hypnoker popped out, and before he could do anything, found himself into some headlock. Although shocked, his face still had that look of defeat when his pendulum was swiped. As his vision started to blur a bit, he noticed a glint in the corner of his eye. He tried to focus, and saw it. His pendulum. His Precious.

"PRECIOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS"

With renewed vigor, Hypnoker tried to Struggle free, but was effectively pinned down. Joe looked on in terror at the revitalised Hypnoker.

"You better hurry with that sample Mewtwo! He looks strangely active!!"

Mewtwo pulled out a swab and lifted Hypnoker's nose, acquiring samples from both nostrils. He also swabbed both ears, and then pulled out some gloves and another small case, which he opened. he put on the gloves, taped the wrists, pulled out a small needle and a tube, and worked quickly to get a blood sample, all the while Twoey held the Hypno's arm still.

Finishing, Mewtwo removed the needle, capped it, and held it between his teeth while he wrapped the injection site. He looked to Trak. "Recall it, now!"

Trak did as told and recalled Hypnoker back into the ball.

Mewtwo didn't say much else, but ducked out of the room to throw the needle away and to gather his things. Twoey watched him go. "That Hypno has some strength."

Zoroark saw the fiasco as well, and turned in the general direction that Hypnoker was Struggling towards, ending at... Runaway? What could the Alakazam have that would arouse Hypnoker from defeat?

Zoroark saw the pendulum, and facepalmed. Joe saw the facepalm, and felt concerned.

"Anything the matter, buddy?"

"... Nothing... Just some... Ludicrousy"

Trak looked at the ball. "As long as it can't get out, I think Runaway can keep the pendulum. But, honestly, I'd rather he not wear it."

"Me faut! J'ai besoin de garder le pendule aussi loin de que Hypno que possible! Si vous gardez dans votre sac, il est possible que cela pourrait prendre. Me faut garder," Runaway explained, refusing to hand it over. I must! I need to keep the pendulum as far away from the Hypno as possible! if you keep it in your bag, there's a chance it could take it. I must keep it.

"You said earlier that it was sending evil energy through it!" Trak countered. "Honestly, Runaway, I don't understand what's going through your mind right now. You're not yourself."

"... I think we should all rest up a bit before heading towards the Bio Lab. Runaway looks like he really needs it." Zoroark sage-nodded.

"Perhaps his squeaky toy can calm him down?" Joe asked.

"Good idea," Trak nodded and took the Foongus out of her bag, handing it to Runaway. She put the air mattress on the floor, assuming that Quickie wouldn't mind, as it is a guest room. "Look, we've had a long journey, and you could use some rest, so why don't you take a little nap?"

Runaway nodded and laid down on the mattress. Trak took off her coat and draped it over him, and then took the pendulum from around his neck. "I don't want it tangling. I'll put it right here, okay? You can put your spoons with it."

Runaway reluctantly took his spoons out of his pockets and placed them on the floor with the pendulum. He snuggled under the coat as Trak leaned down and gave him a kiss on the head.

Trak gave Runaway a pat on the shoulder, then signaled for Twoey to leave the room. She turned off the light and shut the door quietly, heading back down to the kitchen, where Quickie and Mewtwo were finishing their dinner and discussing the evening's plans.

(Looks like a good spot for me to go to bed.)

Back at Fallarbor Town, after finally getting all the Solosis slime off his hair, Earl recalled his Pokemon, and stepped outside his room to take a look. Reaching the reception area, he noticed some men in orange full-suits were outside the Pokemon Center. Turning towards Nurse Joy, he asked.

"... So... What's happening now?"

At Team Flora's Secret HQ, Dr. Wily II was working out the next phase of Hoenn domination. His Malamar was in front of a full-map of Hoenn, and was pointing at various locales on the map. Dr. Wily II shook his head, as he wanted a centralised area to spread his Mind Powder to the fullest... Until Malamar pointed at Sootopolis City.

"... The Cave of Origin... Hmm..."

Joe and his Pokemon were just hanging around the leftovers, playing Rock-type/Grass-type/Fire-type to determine who would get what.

Jeff lumbers by, barely noticing all the orange-suited people scouring about, cleaning up any dust that resembled powder or spores of various grass Pokemon. Merrick quickly notices him, along with Synthis running after him in a vain attempt to prevent him from wandering out of the Center, or in the path of an easily agitated trainer.

Figuring the half-conscious Magician was looking for something, he decides to follow suit, hoping to help fix his ailing problems before they get out of hand, but not before noticing the trainer with the odd tarot energy making his way to the reception desk.

He wanted to stick around and see what he intends to do once he gets his answer, but was more worried about Jeff's wellbeing and continues following after him towards the cafeteria where the Hazemat team were swarming, confiscating most of the food and drinks to test for any hazardous powders that could have reversed the effects of his Esuna spell earlier.

Jeff just glares at some of the Hazemat members refusing to let him anywhere near the bottles of water they were carrying, stating the usual "safety hazard" routine that only seems to further annoy him. Merrick can only sigh with reluctance as he crouches down and pulls the duffel bag in front of him, digging inside for something to quench his flirting friend's desert-dry throat if only so he doesn't end up causing a bigger calamity than what had already befallen the town.

Mr. Bonding managed to fall right into the middle of Mt. Chimney, and much like the last time, was shot out of the side of it again.

Xuangzang noticed Sakura deep in thought in the kitchenette and was wondering what was wrong.

"Sakura...." Xuangzang spoke telepathically "Is something wrong you look like you're deep in thought."

"I want to talk to Runaway without Trak around." Sakura answered back telepathically "I want to hear what he was talking about."

"Ah about that Hypno and the Pendulum." Xuangzang nodded "You think that Runaway might be on to something?"

"He might or he might not, but I don't think that I should completely dismiss him like Trak has been doing." Sakura mentally nodded.

"So Trak is what's really bothering you." Xuangzang noted.

"I understand she wants to protect him, really I do, but that doesn't mean she can't listen to him or not let him do things. She's treating him like he can't do anything anymore, that he's still crazy.

For Arceus's sake that Hypno almost killed her because she's too kind. I didn't want to kill him and maybe he can get help, but that Hypno is not some abused Pokemon, it's completely and utterly insane. Honestly her kindness and over protectiveness is going to bite her in the ass but I need to talk to Runaway first."

"I agree with you, her kindness could indeed be blinding her from the Truth. What I don't understand is why we haven't just sent him to Sabrina yet." Xuangzang questioned.

"That's another thing, I bet Runaway doesn't want to leave that Hypno out of his sight." Sakura mentally sighed "That's another reason I want to talk to him, while I agree the Hypno is dangerous I don't think we can handle him ourselves and certainly not Runaway. Sabrina is the only one I know who can, and of she can't help him....I know she has the mentality to put him down if he's beyond help."

"How so?" Xuangzang asked.

"She's a former Team Rocket agent like Koga was." Sakura answered "She left like Koga did because she realized just how insane Giovanni is, but she's still cold and logical enough to do what she may have to do but kind enough that she may be able to help him if she's able. She's perfect for this task."

"I see you thought this out." Xuangzang stated.

"Yeah I'm lucky I know so many people and a good variety of them too." Sakura mentally sighed "But I can't tell that last part to Trak of course, she'll flip."

"Yes that would be wise." Xuangzang nodded.

The plane landed without a hitch, aside from Taylor having to explain to the pilot why the door was opened midflight, but she was glad to be back in Hoenn. With the Kalos Champion title under her belt, no less! She flew back to her Secret Base to gather her things and rest before she met back up with everyone else.

Trak returned to the kitchen and explained that Runaway was napping. Getting some leftovers, she and Twoey joined Joe for TV time.

Mewtwo watched them for a moment. "I think I shall do the same before we head out." Getting his glasses out of his bag, he went to the living room and plopped down on the couch.

Quickie looked to Sakura. "He certainly is handsome with his glasses. He uses them mostly for reading."

"Yeah I do agree, I just hope he doesn't become blind with that whole degeneration thing." Sakura sighed "But if he does I hope he can somehow learn to read Auras like I can sometimes. I'm not really that strong of an Aura user like Riley is but it does come in handy sometimes. Plus since he knows how to use Aura Sphere there's a chance he can become an Aura master."

"His class hasn't gotten very deep into the clone degeneration, yet, but we don't think his eyesight is due to that," Quickie shook her head. "Just age-related. Though, you might want to get that other one's vision checked. If he's nearsighted, too, it may simply be genetics, but we're not sure which donor."
