At an abandoned lumber camp in the forests between Mauville City and Lavaridge Town, Team Flora admin Veronica walked amongst the decrepit cabins and tents that housed her contingent of organization. Their orders were to simply wait to execute the next part of the Boss' plan, this is, until they received orders to kidnap the leader of the Lavaridge Gym who was rumored to have a rapport with legendary Pokemon from Johto to Kalos. Though the boss was not specific with her plan, Veronica assumed that it had something to do with Groudon given their proximity to Mount Chimney and the former Magma base housed inside the volcano. Most of the grunts were either performing their tasks, usually back-breaking labor to build the new drug processing facilities away from the prying Officer Jennies' eyes, or to stunned out of their minds to do anything useful other than scream out slogans and terrorize the public.
One grunt, whose vacant (and almost dead) gaze suggested that he was under psychic control, ran up to her and shouted, "Death to humans!" The standard greeting for their largely-brainwashed ranks.
"Go on," she said and fought the urge to punch him in the face.
"Team Bravo returned with the target, ma'am!" the mindless grunted reported, "They have him detained in the interrogation center."
"Very well," Veronica replied and dismissively shooed him with a gesture, "Go drown yourself in a stream, or something."
"YES MA'AM!" barked the grunt before running off to do as she ordered.
Given how human and drug trafficking are the organization's bread and butter other than, you know, omnicide, they could snatch another addict from the streets to take his place. Although the "consultant" that they brought in from Kanto (who the team kept in the dark about their goals) and the old codger of a scientist were invaluable. She headed to the mess with the half-collapsed roof where Team Bravo had the immortal boy tied to a chair. For reasons Veronica could not comprehend, Pyro did not even struggle, in fact, he seemed to be enjoying his captivity, if anything. He beamed at her.
"Ooh! I love musical chairs!"
Veronica massaged her temples, "This is going to be a long interrogation."
Meanwhile, atop the Lilycove City Department Store,
a pair of twenty-something men in Robin Hood uniforms approached Taylor. They did not appear scary or threatening, just the opposite, really. Both of them gave her a relaxed grin and a somewhat unfocused gaze as one of them pulled a plastic pouch full of yellow powder from the pocket of his tunic.
"Hey, Dudette," he said, oblivious to the looming Pangoro, "Wanna try some TASTY CHLOROPHYLL? We also got some FUNKY BRELOOM if you want to try something really wild!"
