Capcom is probable kicking themselves in the rear ends because of the success that Kenji Inafune, who was once in their employ, has achieved through his Kickstarter campaign.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.  Four million dollars wouldn't even cover the advertising budget of one of Capcom's "AAA" titles, let alone development.  The only way they're going to be "kicking themselves" over Inafune's success is if Mighty #9 manages to sell four million copies and turns an enormous profit.

Capcom pulling the wool over Inafune's eyes, yet he doesn't realizes it until it's too late.

He said if it's a good deal, which Capcom probably wouldn't give and it has to be in his favor which it probably wouldn't so he probably wouldn't accept it unless it was a really good offer.  Besides I don't think Capcom would actually do that because it's still too early to see if it's a success.  And as it said if it's a good deal and Inafune can have the freedom he wants then I don't see it as a bad thing from a business perspective.

But just in case, since I have no way of telling, Clef whenever you get online can you tell me if this site is another joke site like some of the other things you pointed out?

Didn't the devs of Remember Me essentially give the IP to Capcom for them to publish it? (And it bombed, so it's not like another will ever be made)

Well, Capcom has published IPs that they haven't retained, so I'd imagine that just depends on what kind of deal they propose.  Inafune said he'll consider a good offer, but he still wants it to be his own IP (mentioned that in the "reskin as a Mega Man game" question).

I'm not sure why this surprises anyone.  Inafune said long ago that despite leaving Capcom he already offered to continue working with them to collaborate on projects he'd already started.  It was Capcom who refused.  He's basically saying that if they'll play nice, he's interested.  But we all know that would be a pattern shift for Capcom as of late.

I would actually disagree with you there, Flame, as I believe that Inafune may be saying what he says because he knows that Capcom is in serious trouble, and he likely feels that they will cave in at some point and "take his hand" in order to help pull them out of the [parasitic bomb] that they're in right now. I feel that he's being optimistic about Capcom getting back to its senses, but I don't see why he shouldn't be. Desperation is a great motivator towards doing what you normally would never do, and that sort of thing worked on Capcom while he was still in Capcom, so there's no reason why it would not work now.

Still, for the sake of speculation, I actually would ask all of RPM a question(if it's okay to do so): Who do you think should be the publisher for Mighty No. 9?
