I'm hoping that NotAero gets to be Call, just to watch somebody profit from a design obviously referencing what Capcom went out of their way to destroy.
I'm trying to not get THAT excited. I mean, the whole "spiritual successor to Mega Man" topic has come up before and it's not one that particularly thrilled me, and I've also been none too impressed with Inafune's more recent Mega Man efforts (the fact that he says he doesn't know why Powered Up didn't sell kinda scares the hell out of me). But, well, maybe that's the whole point. Maybe taking that same design mentality to a blank slate is exactly what Inafune needs to shine. It looks gorgeous if nothing else, both design-wise and screenshot-wise. So, I guess I'll have to give it a look.
And, honestly, I do kinda like how insanely quickly he's gathering Kickstarter funds. Once again, a nice kick to Capcom's teeth for doubting the man. That and I'm really hoping for a WiiU version to emerge from the stretch-goals, if this insane pacing keeps up.
You fell for it.
P4R Gaming is a joke site like The Onion.
A rather ineffective joke to claim that Capcom, who would have damn near disowned Mega Man if not for their licensees, would shower such praise onto a Kickstarter-funded game-for-people-who-wish-Inafune-could-still-make-Mega-Man. That and the fact that they've gone on record distancing themselves from Kickstarter since they're too large a company for it to work for them, PR-wise. Inafune, however, having left the company is now basically the most famous indie in existence, so this works excellently for him.
