Hmm...not exactly sure I'd join the Animal Crossing RP....

My mom still has the old DS version, but I'm contemplating continuing from where she and my sister (for a bit) left off, or starting over completely. I am interested in the New Leaf sequel, but I don't have a 3DS, and I'm sure if they have a regular DS version, it would only work in the DSi, which I also don't have (mostly because they have a region lockout, even though I might still be able to play Ouendan 1 & 2 from what I heard across the net).

Animal Crossing RP doesn't seem to be a Cup of Red Tea for me. Besides, I never played an Animal Crossing game before. So my understanding would be very poor for me, if I joined in.

They probably won't make a DS version.

Except for maybe a final scraping of shovelware, yes. They're still selling DSi's so when they stop selling those that'll be the end.

I really fail to see the purpose of making a non-participant mayor.

Because either somebody is using her as a character or we act like she is just there but not. $:\$

It should be one of us who plays the game.

Please don't be one of those people that mistake 3DS and DS for one in the same.

They're completely different systems. 3DS is the next generation Nintendo handheld.

I don't think 3DS and DS are the same; I know they're different in more than eye-popping 3D capabilities. I've practically jumped ship after the release of the 3DS and talk that games made for it can't be played on other DS systems (Well, okay I jumped ship after the release of the DSi, and their games not being playable on older DS systems, but still....)

The only thing that is not playable on the DSi are GBA cartridges, other than that a DS and DSi are practically the same. The only thing that the DSi has is DSi ware which doesn't compare to 3DS ware that also has virtual console. But you can play DS games on all 3 systems.

EDIT: Wait are you talking about Region Lock?

I was saying more towards what I thought I read about games released after the DSi not being playable on older DS systems (I.E. DSLite). I'm aware that DSi was region lock at least for later Japanese and PAL games.

But don't mind me, it may have been a bad case of misreading reviews and posts concerning DSi's capabilities.

Okay, I've given a lot of thought about Kathy's kinetics and hoping they don't offend, too much. I will be replacing her fire, water, air, earth, plant and light manipulating abilities with Thermokinesis (Temperature), Miasmakinesis (Gas), Crystallokinesis, (Crystal/Minerals), Ergokinesis (Energy), Ecokinesis (Nature), and... I'll leave that last one as a surprise, if I get the opporunity to show it.

Overall Kathy can manipulate:

1.Temperature
2.Gas
3.Minerals
4.Energy
5.Nature
6.Metal
7.Technology
8.Gravity
9.[insert mystery power here]

But she can only use one them at a time. Her one ability she has in her SNM9 form, makes that number meaningless, though.

And what's to stop her from using them in succession? Switching from one to another fluidly?

Mega Man can only use one Special Weapon at a time but that doesn't mean he can't rapidly switch between them at will.
