http://www.oxm.co.uk/54748/xbox-one-specs-are-boosted-by-the-equivalent-of-three-xbox-ones-in-the-cloud/

Keep in mind the previously mentioned fact that you only need to connect once a day. But, realise that if you play a game that supports Microsoft's Azure cloud processing, you will need a constant connection to play.

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Oh, oh, is this going to be like that EA thing where they said SimCity had a bunch of server-side processing going on, and it turned out to just be a lie to cover up their stupid DRM scheme?

Commander Shepard: *stares blankly at a video of scantily clad asari dancers* ...What kind of hotel is this?
Liara T'Soni: It is a luxury resort with an... exotic edge.  Azure is slang for a part of the asari body in some places on Illium.
Shepard: Where?
Liara: The lower reaches, near the bottom.
Shepard: I meant, "where on the asari body?"
Liara: So did I.

Keep in mind the previously mentioned fact that you only need to connect once a day. But, realise that if you play a game that supports Microsoft's Azure cloud processing, you will need a constant connection to play.
Microsoft needs to get their message straight.  As a "cloud gaming box", they MIGHT actually be able to sell the damn thing.  It's the only way they'll come close to justifying an "always online" architecture, which is what the frikkin' box is whether it tolerates an up-to-one-day break or not.  For as much as an annoying as the momentary connection hickup is, there are a wealth of other concerns that "it's okay because you only have to check in once daily" simply does not address.

Frankly, at this point, embracing the always-online thing might be the better way to go for them, IF they can show us why definitively cloud gaming is producing a better experience than the other consoles.  But...be honest, even if their theoretical spec sheet smokes the PS4's, what are the odds that an "XBone" game will make that difference clearly apparent to the player?  Very little, I'd imagine.  "Same [parasitic bomb] with less jaggies" isn't going to cut it.

As it is, you can't even play games without a connection.
Retailers here have started taking pre-orders for the Xbox One at around $900 AUD, which you'd think if you had that much money you'd also have a decent internet connection, so maybe it's a no-brainer. But I will say, not every locale can support such extensive cloud operation like what Microsoft is trying to force, especially here.

Honestly with that cloud stuff I wouldn't be surprised if the thing is very glitchy very early on and still have the Red Rings of Death.

Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

Every console is pretty bad to start with.

The Wii U was slow to load, Nintendoland constantly crashed, the eShop was lacking in everything.

The Xbox 360 had high Failure rates (From what I hear.)

Yeah, most consoles nowadays are pretty bad to start.

Is the Wii U even worth it in this period of time?

It seems like the really stellar games haven't even come out yet.

It'll pick up within two months.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

From Nintendo maybe, but I thought the 360 was strange with Region Locking.

The Xbox 360 had high Failure rates (From what I hear.)
From my experience that is true with the old Xbox 360 models since my older brother's 360 died a few years ago; the newer Xbox 360 S models that people are getting nowadays are much less to likely have system failures than the older models (plus you can get them with 250GB hard drives without Kinect instead the 4GB hard drives bundled with Kinect).

From Nintendo maybe, but I thought the 360 was strange with Region Locking.
Vixy did say somewhere that 360s are region-free systems but most Japanese developers are pricks and region-lock the games themselves.

-EDIT-
Yup, the recent article above even mentioned devs can choose region-locking. Therefore, the majority of Japanese Xbox 360 developers are selfish pricks.

That's right, Microsoft.  Empty the entire clip into your foot.  It's the only way to be sure.

I still have the "Arcade" 360 that came with a Sega tennis game and a bonus disc with arcade games. Never had any trouble.

Flash drive's been real good for save game data. That said, the lack of integrated wifi really fucks over that ONE indie game. And I have to run a cable down a flight to hook it up to a router.

I'll get the 360 slim eventually.

Man I never liked how the PSOne looked compared to the classic PS1.

Both were infinitely more visually appealing than the Xbox One though.
