The whole "Save money, live at home" thing's gone out the [tornado fang]ing door since I'm going to be paying rent now. That was basically the only plan I had at all. I've got nothing else.

I know people tell me all the time "Oh you're only 21 the whole world's open to you, blank slate, etc." and other bullshit.

Yeah, except for the [acid burst]-poor GPA in highschool, the drop-out of college after two semesters, of which the second one had three failed classes.

I had a daydream once, it was kind of the idea of running a small game shop or whatever, that also sold other things that I also like (Anime and figures and such.). I thought that would be cool, except for the realization that having a niche store wouldn't really work out too well, having to pay rent and upkeep, hiring people, and still having money for other things, namely living expenses and whatnot. I quickly realized how infeasible it would be.

I'm just... scared to go back into an academic environment again. I don't want a repeat of last time's mixture of Laziness + Cockiness.

I guess, but really sometimes you just need to power through some [parasitic bomb] to make it, I did that when I was failing an online class for Algebra in High School and passed with a B.   It's pretty much life in general, you have to put some effort into it.

But for you I think it would be better for you to find a major of some kind before going back to school.  There's no point if you're not motivated to learn something like with me and HR.

My trainer was sick today but luckily they had a substitute for me.  It was very different since this trainer didn't have me use machines.

Holy [parasitic bomb] this new mouse is fast.   Luckily it also works on hard surfaces too so I don't have to bring a mouse pad to school while I have this.

Also unfortunately Bestbuy still didn't have any games for their sale, I get the feeling they may have underestimated the supply they had compared to the gamer community's willingness to buy, so I might just get the games on Amazon instead.

I lost 10 hours of progress on FF5 cause I accidentally loaded an old save and lost the current one.

2 is nothing compared to that.

Also since I decided to get another Logitech mouse I was able to use the old receiver for the new mouse, which works out great since I can't get the old receiver out since my laptop is slightly deformed in that area where the receiver is.  It works out perfectly for me.

Time to make some coffee, eat a sandwich, and get back to work on my painting exercise.  I love using gouache, but the drying time between coats consumes more time than acrylic.

It also smells kind of bad.

From what I can tell having no issues in Safe Mode with the video, it's likely not a video card issue. More likely drivers. Trying to figure out how to bypass the busted drivers and use the Safe Mode ones, if possible.

Kind of reminds me of the time an Update to Firefox made Firefox unusable for me until the next Update.

A program going unusable is one thing.

Making it damn-near impossible to use my computer normally because the graphics get all garbled and glitchy and it looks like a killscreen for a killscreen... that's a whole different beast.
