So a while back I wanted to eventually get a iPod because I felt that I wouldn't use my Phone as an iPod since I worry more about the battery life and really just use my phone as communication instead of for games.  However what deterred me from actually considering this something I would buy as say like a Christmas gift was that I felt that the price of a 32 GB iPod Touch was higher than my willingness to pay and honestly felt like it was a rip off for it.

I think that the solution to this problem is that instead of getting a iPod Touch that I should get a iPod Classic for the following reasons.

1. I honestly don't mind using the click wheel for something that's just an MP3 player and honestly touch controls for selecting songs seems a bit finicky to me.

2. Since the iPod has 160 GB of storage I don't have to worry about running out of room for music or too much bloat ware taking over space for it as my music collection grows.

3. I don't think there were really any iPhone games that I missed that I didn't find again on Android and honestly I only play games on my Tablet on occasion.

4. With an iPod Touch I would only be able to use the communication properties with when I have access to Wi-Fi.  I honestly don't need that since I have a Smart Phone that I can use anywhere for communication and I wouldn't be able to play certain games on it anyway without internet access so really that also diminishes the benefit of the iPod Touch having Wi-Fi connectivity which means that the price for Wi-Fi access is not worth it.

5. I don't have to replace my iHome and I still have plenty of 30 pin connector cables that I can use for it, and I honestly don't have to worry about the interface making it difficult to use the iPod to wake up to music without the worry that it won't work.

6. Since it's only an MP3 player I have more battery power.

I plan on getting one for my Birthday next year, if they still sell them at Bestbuy by that time I'll get it there since I have a $25 Gift Card and I can probably trade in my 16 GB 5th Gen Nano for about 50 bucks in a Amazon card and turn the card into Cash along with my collection of change.  If they don't I can just get it on Amazon.

Can't you use Dropbox or Google Docs/Drive for that stuff?

Yeah that's what I do, I do use iTunes but since my music is in my folder I can change if I have to, like say if the Classic becomes incompatible with a future iTunes update I can just put it in a SD card and put it somewhere else.

Eh. I'm fine just using my phone for music. A 16GB SD is more than I need and I actually don't use my phone as a phone that often.

I think you have to use iTunes for the iPod, but my Galaxy has an option to play music stored in a SD card.  I don't know I'm hardly an expert on this subject.

Honestly California is like this, we have Summer when it rains a little, a slightly cooler Summer, Summer, and Summer when the plants die.  It's Humidity I have a real problem.
