I'll first draft up a flyer listing my prices, and then a contract that details what goes into each price.  Prices would sometimes vary, as I may not need to run to the store at that time.  This time, though, I needed supplies, and the closest store is over forty miles away.  I'm in a bit of a spot, then, as I need to charge for mileage.

And the problems I have with trying to find a programming job is thus: firstly, I can't just search up a programming job because I barely even know C++. The languages I'm great with are GML and Lua, though I have a bit of Java experience. Secondly, I can't even find someone on the Game Maker Community forum because the Game Maker version I use is partially obsolete, and the new version is whorishly priced. Which means I would need a job to get it. Which I can't because college and high school kids took all of the great jobs now.
You know Java, so why not use C#? I'm doing development with C# through the Microsoft XNA4.0 library, and C# follows the Java paradigm to some extent.

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Where did you see that?

Late, but Something Awful.

Sorry I haven't been staying up as late as I used to because of my job.

I only know a bit of it, and part of the knowledge is from the fact that GML is essentially a ripoff of Java. I did work with java once, but that was in my AdventureCraft/Minecraft days. I know very little about making full-blown software and such from Java, or any C for that matter.

I honestly should really get into learning one or the other, but the problem is that I need cash now, not only for me but for my failing household family...

You might have to look for something outside of your major, at least have some other experience, and maybe after a short stint, something related comes by.

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

I've got a couple replies! I could be freelancing at Cybertronic Studios soon!

Mr. Haxwell

I'm feeling a bit hyper tonight. Could be the red bull I had, or my attitude towards my dads work. Maybe its my eagerness to get back online to play Gears, since my brother got my gold membership up and running, last night, and now I'm stuck with what appears to be "urgent" work now.

Fear me.

Nice news! o:

I showed him my progress on Megaman VX when I sent him my application, and he started his reply with:
QuoteDude, your Megaman game is awesome. We need someone like you in our company.

No no, snow still sucks.

This. So [tornado fang]ing annoying to walk through, not to mention shoveling.

I like snow, and I like shoveling snow.  Great exercise! 8D

I also like storms.  And rain.  The sound of rain is so very relaxing.  Nothing like curling up under the covers and listening to the rain outside.

Precisely.

I think thunderstorms are relaxing as well, loud noise and all. Have no idea why.

Why is the E3 2012 topic still stickied?

I'll go fix that...

Quickie... you unstickied the 2013 E3 thread. :P

I'll get it back.

Whoops!  I misread.  Thanks for catching that.

I love them too. Except when it hails like it did this past Wednesday when I went to see Man of Steel.

Unfortunately the heavy rainfall is causing floods here in southern Alberta. Many neighborhoods in Calgary are now swimming pools and the water has risen to row ten at the Saddledome.

It hails once or twice a year and it is always a scramble to save my mother's plants.
