I feel like the one giant guy would have made a batter villain for this story, he would have at least lived long enough to have seen the worst elements of humanity over Lysandre who was some rich guy who had never done any hard work in his life from the sounds of it.

Eh I don't know I think it's because he's rich, and the descendent of AZ's brother and thus of royal blood he thinks he can decide/and do things like that. 

The way I see Lysandre is someone who thinks he can do everything and be right, with 'good intentions', but since he couldn't find a solution to the 'problem ' he described he decided to blow everything up.  I mean he's threatening, but not well written.

Nothing too special in tonight's Wonder Trade extravaganza.  An Armaldo, Bouffalant, Meowstic, a Gurdurr (which evolved), and a Gourgeist.  Still have the Bouffalant and the Meowstic, but I traded the rest a while ago.

I helped another person with their Dex and gave them a Chingling for their Italian Hypno.  I will feed him Puffs until he's chubby and I shall call him Fat Tony.

What kinda annoyed me more than anything was that NO ONE POINTED THIS HYPOCRISY OUT, everyone acted like Lysandre was some misunderstood tragic hero with extreme methods. He was as you said just an entitled nutcase who thought he was better than everyone else.

His claims of pollution and over population? Where in any of the pokemon regions have we ever really seen this? 90% of the pokemon world thus far seems lush with only small pockets of humanity living here and there and not really having any major negative impact outside of a few areas. Even the biggest cities seem rather clean and hardly draining of what resources we know exist in the world. If anything the world of pokemon seems like a paradise.

I obviously thought about this more than game freak did. 

Villains have never been the Pokemon franchise's strong point IMHO.  Since Gen4 my main interest in the evil teams has been how badass their theme music would be, and Team Flare delivered on that if nothing else.

If we are looking at teams rather than individuals, though, I'll pass on the entire main series and say that the franchise's best villainous group is Cipher.

Ugh Gale of Darkness left such a hook too with Ardos but will people not liking double battles I doubt we'd get another Colosseum game.  Cypher is just pure nightmare fuel.

Still Ghetsis is still probably my favorite of the Villians by virtue of being a complete bastard with Cyrus being a close second and Lysandre being third despite being poorly written.  I wish Cyrus had a bit more background as to why he wanted to [tornado fang] up the world, I mean beside him being a complete sociopath, and I hope the inevitable Diamond and Pearl remakes expand on that. 

Though I wonder how they will make Galactic's costumes even more ridiculous than they already are.

Eh maybe some visors like Lysandre's hot scientists. 

You know another thing I didn't like about X and Y were how weak the side characters and rival were except Xerosic and maybe Shauna, even though I found her too cutesy at times.  Sina and Dexio in particular really awkward, Tierno was kind of flat, Trevor was boring, and the rival was all over the place.  The hot scientists could have definitely used more screen time.

I believe Z will refine them a bit more. My concern was how forced the final arc of the Flare plot was thrust into your face from nowhere. The previous Flare encounters just didn't mesh up well to that point.

Yeah I agree and the fact that you had to go to 2 different places plus the amount of battles really didn't jive with me either.

I missed the part where Gardevoir was announced for Pokken.  That's...actually pretty cool.  Still wish Mewtwo and/or Dragonite were in it, but oh well, it looks pretty badass as-is.
