I'm still hunting for Shinies and for Zapdos.  Haven't had a random encounter for a while.  I may return to the usual haunts where I've found him.

Load up the Town Map, and see where Zapdos is. If you can bike over to its next location, you usually can track it down easy.

You can track him via the map?  Huh.  Didn't realize that.  What should I look for?

Via the PokeDex, not the Town Map. Go to the Coastal Kalos Dex, then select Zapdos if you have seen it once. The MAP in the PokeDex will show you where it is. God, I'm stupid.

NEVER Fly to its current position, it will then Fly away to a different direction. Just cycle,
If it's too far to cycle too, you can Fly, but try to keep as much distance.

For example, if you are at Route 7, and Zapdos is at Route 18, you can try to Fly to Dendemille Town. Then check the Dex again. If it's still at Route 18, cycle. Else, try again.

so apparently if you can't pay the five dollar annual fee you'll have a small amount of time to withdraw yer 'mons, but after that they'll be deleted. meaning i was mostly wrong. we're not sure how long this period of time is.

Bad news, Wily. You need to get PokeTransporter with Pokemon Bank, and you have to go through the eShop to get them.

However, there's nothing saying you can't trade your Pokemon from BW(2) to someone else, have them use the Transporter, then trade them back. A bit of a roundabout way, but still makes it possible to get yer mons to X/Y.
