Should be interesting, so long as my partner's Pokemon have been grinded up to the same levels as mine.  I'd hate to have to take on two opponents at once because my partner wasn't up to snuff.

Yeah it is, but god damn he's just like boring as hell. I just want him to be the asshat rival or something, but that's not happening it seems. He's like Cheren or that other rival from B2/W2 that I forget the name of, but lamer.

Shauna on the other hand isn't too bad, Like Bianca.

He's also doesn't wear a hat. That's like a Pokelaw violation or something, if he's supposed to be the male main character I don't care if I'm not playing as him he still needs his [tornado fang]ing hat.

He doesn't wear his hat because you're the main character. If you were playing as him, the girl would be without her hat instead.
It seems it's tradition that the protagonist always wear a hat of some sort, and they decided to run with it and make the.. 'rival', if he/she can be called that even in this game, lack it. Thus why you can't remove your character's hat ever unless you're going to the stylist.

Yeah I do too from what I've seen in the Let's Play I'm watching, it's not just from Point A to Point B like it was in previous games.  That and you get access to a lot of services and Pokemon.

Ugh I found a Bagon and that little douche broke all of my pokeballs.

I was already upset that I [tornado fang]ing hit Whirlwind by accident and blew away an Absol I wanted to catch but that just made it worse.

Neat, I found a horde of Zangoose. None of the games I got ever had Zangoose.

And there's even one Seviper there, and the Zangoose all attacked it instead of me, That's kind of funny.

I encountered a horde of Seviper with one Zangoose. KOed the one Zangoose and all of them attempted to Bind and Bite and failed because they all targeted the Zan.

I accidentally killed three Flabebes until I caught one.  And Burmy?  You suck.  Enjoy protecting yourself until your PP runs out.

That sounds fun.

More fun than him being completely useless in a double battle.

Though I guess in that last one his Absol ended up killing both Croagunk and Scraggy, but that was after I did all of the work.

His evolved Fenikin won that battle for me, but only because I got Confused and the game decided to have me hit myself three times in a row while he whittled them to zero. Funny enough, the 'two Feint Attacks' thing happened to that other Pokemon just like you said.
