Actually the Wii U VC has a pretty good selection. I mean, it's only 28 games or so, but there's some damn good ones in there.

That's what I mean, its a good selection but there's not very many games at all.

And a good chunk of those NES games (Xevious, Pac-Man, Mario Bros. Ice Climber, DK JR., Yoshi, and possibly Wrecking Crew.) Are not worth $5. The SNES lineup isn't too bad right now but that's only because they've been getting a lot of the greats out right off the bat.

That being said, 30 cent Yoshi works for this as well if it hasn't already been bought.

Hopefully they'll bring FF6 and Secret of Mana over to our VC (they're both available on the JP Wii U VC right now)

I hear Sqeenix disabled the ability to make screenshots for Miiverse in FF6.

Probably because people would spoiler the [parasitic bomb] out of it and they didn't want that.

Anyway, it seems that back in April Micro$oft is now no longer charging developers for patching games (and it's about damn time; something tells me this has to do with Xboned's backlash), and in light of this, Fez is finally getting it's muched-need patch to fix the save corruption bug. Probably too late for that, especially since the PC version is out already out, but at least the developers are considerate for the XBLA version.

You hear that, Konami? You have no excuse to not patch the Xbox 360 version of Z.O.E HD Collection now! >8|

Wait, Microsoft seriously had their consumers paying for PATCHES?

Bloody hell that is by far one of the worst things I've heard about a game company.

They don't charge the comsumers for patches, they charge developers to patch their games (I should of made that much more clearly), and at the time devs were charged for patches more than 4MB in size (this was the reason the XBLA version of Skullgirls got patched much later than PSN).

Still a [parasitic bomb] practice though.

Anyway, some things of note:

-Pilotwings is available on Wii U VC now, much earlier than it came out on the Wii VC.
-Sonic 2, Sonic Labyrinth (Finally!) Are out on the 3DS.
-Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed is 75% off on Steam until Monday.
-As I noted before, Final Fantasy 7 is on Steam now for $12, if you already own the Square-Enix Shop version you Cannot get a Steam Key and must rebuy if you absolutely need the game on Steam.
-This week's Humble Weekly Sale is the Two Tribes games Toki Tori (With Soundtracks for both the GBC and normal version), EDGE, and RUSH for paying over the average. Along with a discount coupon for Toki Tori 2.

Oh yea, speaking of Xbox LIVE, an update is coming to the service and one of the changes includes a change of currency. This probably means no more ambigous Microsoft Points (none of that 80 MSP = $1 USD nonsense) and hopefully something more straight-forward (like PSN's way of using currency or something of nature).

So that'll kill off this points nonsense across the board since only Microsoft was using them anymore.

I hope they plan on making pre-paid cards with monetary value ($20, $50, etc.) like PSN and Steam does when the update launches.

It only took them, like, forever to change that [parasitic bomb].

Microsoft are truly even more revolutionary than Nintendo and Sony.

I hear this thing won't even have a power button!

And last bit of update that I got for now: What happens when you take Panzer Dragoon and blend it with Gradius in the form a free-roaming shoot 'em up? Diadra Empty (Japanese), a doujin shooter by Frozen Orb that happens to be Rockin' Android's latest localization. You can find the game at DESURA, Amazon, GamersGate, Rice Digital, and its up for vote on Steam Greenlight.

Thought I'd clarify this: ALL Sonic is 75% off on Steam at the moment

And if you get the bundle, they're practically GIVING AWAY 4-Ep1  >0<

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

They fixed it since, unfortunately.

I guess they didn't want to give people 51 cents for buying a shitty game.

So I guess if you buy Fire Emblem and SMT IV and register them in Club Nintendo you get a $30 eShop Credit.

I assume this is only for the 3DS but that's still pretty [tornado fang]ing awesome.

Here's my source.
Oh, it appears to be US Only.

Well considering that both are only on 3DS, I think that's a safe assumption.

Yeah, but is it applicable to Physical releases? That's the main question, still $30 really helps offset the $50 cost of SMT IV.

Did you mean 6 or 7?

Because I already mentioned 7 and if 6 is up then I'll wait for it on the eShop.

New VC releases this week in the US:

3DS:

Super Mario Bros. 2/USA

Wii U:

Metroid

Yep, that's it. Real [tornado fang]ing weak display NOA. Its barely the third full month of the Virtual Console on the Wii U and they're already trickling games out.
I feel I should mention that Europe got Kid Icarus as well on the Wii U, and buying either that or Metroid gives a 50% discount on the other (If they're at full price).
