to this day i question why i ever got another copy of Sonic CD

I have 4 copies, I have no regrets.

Amatiramisu

I somehow amassed two copies of Sonic and the Secret Rings.
Don't know what to do with the other one besides sell it or use it as a frisbee.

continue amassing GOG titles* instead to show your DRM-free superiority

*must include Thief 1-3 and System Shock 2

I'll wait until the Thief games are on sale. Although $30 for all three doesn't sound too bad.

And yeah, I have System Shock 2 on my wishlist.

I don't know why I even bought games I already have on 360/PS3/other consoles. XD

Heh, I wish I had money to spend like that.

Granted, I have several copies of Sonic 1 and 2... And I'd still buy the 3D port If I had the chance! 8D

Look on the bright side, you haven't been suckered in by their sales and stuff.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted. It's amazing how low some of the titles drop to.

irgpie

in terms of most copies of anything I think I've got 3 of Thief Gold. The first of which was a retail compilation of the whole series. I am dumb.

it just came out on Steam and is on for about $7 till the 17th if you're that interested.

Rin

Gonna list my digital collection later. I have a couple on Steam and PSN.
Plus, because of this thread and money discussion, I have a new signature.

Amatiramisu

That is probably one of the better signatures I've seen on this forum.

I hope I'm not mixing up my anime, but that's from Needless, right?

7 bucks... probably the lowest it will go down to given the demand. Sure, I'll bite.

Thanks!

>has Fallout 3

Because I'm crazy and stupid enough to ask: what is it that got you into Fallout 3 all the sudden?

Amatiramisu

If I could thank that post...

I would. :\

Anyways, I feel pitiful for literally being unable to buy System Shock 2 for that price.

Reaperoid

I've updated, and also linked in sig to save myself time hunting it down again. I don't even know if my Ninty games lists are accurate anymore.

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

ViperAcidZX

Updated mine too (and changed the signature to match), finally listing all of the digital distribution PC games I legitimately got.

So do I. The situation I'm in doesn't help in the slightest... ;O;

-EDIT-
Just a heads up for anyone trying to mod the Steam release of System Shock, there's gonna be a bit of a problem with that at the moment.

Police Girl

Get your Super Metroid now.

Do it do it do it.

Also I guess 3D Classic Sonic 1 came out in Japan, and I hear its pretty [parasitic bomb] in terms of sound emulation. But other than that I don't know much else.

VixyNyan

Sound emulation is fine. It's the choice of visual display that's lacking. You have either the 1:1 aspect ratio, or a blurry bloated screen that tries to simulate an old SDTV, CRT or arcade cabinet screen of some sort. The 1:1 ratio is better and is crispy clean and pixel-perfect, as if you were playing on a emulator.

You can still see the background and certain foreground objects showing depth, and it's more effective in Special Stages, but that's about it. It still runs smoothly and fluidly in 60fps, like it does on Mega Drive.

You can choose between Japanese or International version of the ROM. The buttons Y, B and A are set to jump (A B C) and the X button is the start button. The cheat codes for the game are still in there intact. You have one save state slot to use for loading later.

Police Girl

Huh, the video I saw had [tornado fang]'d up sounds, mainly the Spindash and the Goalpost noise. Also the Scrap Brain Music sounded a little... empty.

I kinda like Bloated CRT mode. Too bad it probably doesn't add a filter to make the Waterfalls and stuff do that fake transparency stuff. Because Pixel perfect doesn't.

US Virtual Console releases this week:

Wii U:
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Ghouls & Ghosts
I already mentioned Super Metroid

3DS:
Megaman 5
Harvest Moon

There's a sale on Super Mario Bros. 2, if you have Super Mario World you can get it half off. Not sure if it applies retroactively or not.

EDIT: It is retroactive. Get your cheap SMB2.

Ohhkay, Apparently Nintendo has announced that Sonic Blast and Sonic Labyrinth will be arriving on the eShop "Soon" along with Sonic 1, 2 , Drift 2, Tails Adventures.

Lets see if they're being sincere this time as the last time they said soon for these games was a year ago, but what can you expect from the Trickle team at NoA?

Also Oracles come out the 30th, at a discounted price for the first two weeks of $5 as opposed to $6.

So get both for $10, naturally.

Phi

That's great and all but why no mention of Sonic 3? (and no Sonic 1 3D either)

Also that Oracles deal sounds good, I'll be getting both since I missed out on them during my childhood.

Police Girl

Sonic 3 wasn't on Game Gear.

Those are all Game Gear games.

And yeah, nothing about 3D Classics.

Quote from: Nyu MediaWe JUST launched a Kickstarter campaign AND the Steam Greenlight entry for our next release, a trilogy of arcade shooting games called the Tale of ALLTYNEX!

The Tale of ALLTYNEX comprises of KAMUI, RefleX, and ALLTYNEX Second and is one of the most revered and respected Japanese shooting game series ever. Brain-transplanted fighter craft, reflective shield technology, and blade-based melee attacks take on a global militarized government, genocidal A.I. and ancient alien weapons of mass destruction! More AWESOME than you can shake a stick at!

The purpose of the Kickstarter is to support the final stages of the localization work and to help promote the games' release. Reward tiers for contributors include the games, soundtracks, plushies, dakimakura, and a trip to the Winter Comiket event in Tokyo this December to hang with us and meet some of the cream of Japan's indie developers in person! We also have stretch goals that will deliver limited runs of collectible physical editions of the games.

For LOTS of details, please visit The Tale of ALLTYNEX Kickstarter campaign at http://kck.st/ZMwFFR

Also launched this morning (it's been a busy one!) is the Steam Greenlight entry for The Tale of ALLTYNEX this morning! Please visit the page and vote UP The Tale of ALLTYNEX to help us get on the world's biggest digital games distribution service!

It depress the [acid burst] out of me that I can't contribute, but I'd be willing to give a minimum of $25 if I could. A trip to Comiket would be awesome though, if I can spook Moonspeak and so I can get the right games. If you want demos of these games, there's an English demo for Kamui and ALLTYNEX Second available; the latter is not low-spec friendly though, but if you like Taito's RayForce/RayStorm/RayCrisis, Kamui is a good place to start.

Police Girl

You should work as a spokesperson for indie games or something.

Amatiramisu

EDIT wrong tab wrong thread [parasitic bomb] sorry

Anyway I'll vote 'em up next time I'm around Greenlight. "Not Low-Spec compatible" isn't good words to my ears though. Ah well. Still looks good.

Police Girl

Kirby Week on the Wii U.

-Kirby Super Star
-Kirby's Dream Land 3
-Kirby's Dream Course

All these went up today. Buy two of them and you get the third for free.

Mirby

I rather enjoyed Dream Course. And Dream Land 3 and Super Star are fantastic, naturally.

Buy Ghosts and Goblins or Megaman X and you get the other one half off.

So... Buy GnG and get X for cheap.

Also Oracles.

Nintendo, i'm impressed.

Phi

Updated my list with System Shock 2 and the two Oracle games.

Police Girl

Updated my list with the Club Nintendo Rewards of the week:

-Super Mario Bros. 3
-F-Zero X
