Got a name for that already?

I'd call it "Nereid Armor"
more like, NERD armor

JKB Games

Thanks for the input guys.

mmm...
Suijin Armor. 8D
Aquos Armor.

I dunno.

Would "Leviathan" be too simple? honestly i think it would go nicely.
"Pheonix armor"
"Leviathan armor"

otherwise, maybe "kraken"
or even "Kappa"

also, Walking on water?
how would that work? I  mean, what If you want to sink to the bottom? it should have some kind of underwater ability as well IMO.

Leviathan doens't phonetically go with the word armor.
Kraken has tentacles and Kappa is weird.

To sink to the bottom just crounch and press jump, just like jumping down subplatforms which is a part of the game.
Probably the body part will have some underwater ability.
And I will most likelly have the Phoenix Buster not work underwater.

Triton Armor?

That's a cool name.

The best name would be something legendary that matches Phoenix but for water.

Leviathan or Bahamut then.

Why Bahamut? Because originally Bahamut was a FISH.

Or Leviathan. But that's overused. Then you could chose either Charybdis or Scylla Armor. Kraken Armor. Loch Ness/Nessie Armor.Or ARRRRRRRmor.

Anything you like?

Dr. Wily II

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

This sounds kind of show-stopping, unless you can switch it out on the fly.

Galappan

Gaea-Falcon
Shadow-Blade
Icarus-Hermes
Phoenix-Wright

.......
...........
...............

Wright Armor?  8D

Seriously...

Nautilus Armor
Pisces Armor

JKB Games

So many cool names, is hard to decide.

You can switch to the regular buster, it stays as a selectable weapon on both armors.
The water plave is huge so when going there the player can switch armors at save capsules.

Zx

"Di Mant de Vongole Primo!"

Acid

No poll.

Just let him pick what he thinks fits best.

JKB Games

I'll do this, once the armor is done, with all it's abilities and special stuff, I'll choose what fit the most.

Thanks all for the suggestion.
Now I go back to the old dilemma of deciding what abilities it would get.

Btw, there are 7 custom songs so far, would you guys like if I make a small flash player with the songs?

Yes.  Yes I would like that!

Acid

Yes, I'd appreciate that. Call it... the "Rock Beat Box"

Okay, here's some brainstorming. You seem to need ideas to start working on the design, so I'll post the ones that came to mind just in case any of them are decent.

- My idea for the water armor involves the concept of a "Water Tank". It could have a visible meter like another Weapon meter, it could be visible only in the menu like a Sub Tank.

- The Water Tank would fill only while X is underwater, so he can "spam" the armor skills there but have limited ammo on land. X wouldn't have to stand still, it'd fill on the go.

- Wearing any of the parts of the armor should make the Water Tank available.

- the Boots would allow X to perform a second consecutive upwards dash, but this dash would consume water from the Water Tank. Water burst coming from the boots would be a desirable visual effect.

- the Head part would slowly refill X's Sub Tanks while he is standing at the expense of the water in the Water Tank. This ability stops working after each Sub Tank is at 50% of its capacity. So to sum it up, it uses your water to regen your sub tanks 'til they're half full.

- the Body part reduces damage from melee contact (this means it works on enemies and not projeciles). In addition, if you were charging your buster a water burst will push the enemies in a small radius away from X (you know, small enough to get the dude who hit you), causing you to use water from the Water Tank. This burst could or could not cause actual damage to the enemies.

- I didn't think about the Buster part, but the idea is to make the final charge level use up water from the Water Tank so you can abuse it while underwater without worries, and making it more tricky to use it on land.

I like the concept a lot, I might really use this, seems new to megaman stuff.
But I wouldn’t make it refill out of the water, the player must equip the phoenix head (replenish WE) to be able to use it outside of water. This is great for strategy and I can also make several water pools throughout the levels so you can refill the tank.

Quote from: RMX- the Boots would allow X to perform a second consecutive upwards dash, but this dash would consume water from the Water Tank. Water burst coming from the boots would be a desirable visual effect.

I could probably scratch the water walk idea for a multiple jumps in water consuming the water tank meter. That way you would always be able to reach the surface and do water hops.

This seems really overpowered, just like X3 golden armor. Maybe have it refill your health bar but only up to 50% consuming the water meter also.

I like this one, it’s defensive different from the phoenix, but not sure of the pushing away enemies.

Other than a different buster, the arms upgrade will allow X to climb slippery walls like the ones in the sewers with water poring down.

Thanks for all these ideas RMX  ;).

Jesus Boots. (Name is debatable)
Walk on Water

Turbine Jetpack
Triples Dash range (underwater only)

Harpoon Helmet
Dash becomes a lethal tackle attack (underwater only).

Whirlpool Buster
Fires a slow yet powerful orb of energy devouring any projectile crossing its way (Also hurts upon impact).

I don't want ability only limited to underwater, and you already jump far in water no need for all those dashes.

This is interesting but working out side water also. Could be a great combo with Phoenix Flame Dash.

This is also interesting, probably make it suck in projectiles in a radius.

Thanks for the suggestion Acid.

This armor is going to be awesome.

Jesus wears sandals, not boots

Acid

Robot Jesus wears boots.

INFIDEL.

What, no octopus tentacles?

FAIL.

And where's the Ghidora armor?
Multiple heads!

How about Abyss Armor or Nautilus Armor for a name?   8D

Flame

I had this Idea of a buster ability...
a weapon or something.
theres an energy bar for it you begin to charge up the weapon, and X's buster kind of forms a whirlpool suction that draws water into it, and pulls in enemies near X closer to him, and when you charge, the bar fills up. when its at max, you let go, and X shoots  this big water shot that destroys most normal enemies, (axcluding hidden mets of course,) but can only be used under water...
for above water, it just works like the regular X buster.

BTW, JKB, I tried to draw Pheonix armor, and I attempted the other Armor. the chest part I really couldnt tell from the sprite, so I kind of drew what i "thought" it "kinda" looked like.

geez... now I know what those VG mag artists felt like trying to draw X's armor in that review of that beta...

I like that phoenix armor and the first sketch of the water armor, the second is not quite how i envisioned it.

Flame

By second you meean the two Water armor pics? yeah. like I said. its kinda hard to tell from just a sprite. I was kinda baffled by X's headgem with the water armor.

hey, thats what you should call it.
Water Armor.
