"Unlike Sonic, I don't chuckle" (Unknown from M. E.). I honestly think they could've hired a proffesional DJ for that, but meh. Most Sonic games always varied in the theme of the song..

it's rap, but is it really gangsta? it's pretty clean compared to what i think is gangsta. there isn't a song i know of that uses a lyric along the lines of "bust a cap in yo ass."

While I agree with the notion that Knux's lil mixes in the games are FAR from being anything close to gangsta rap, the latter part of your statement leaves a bit more to be desired...

....But that just means you may need to listen to more of a variety of rap, dear Sato.  The "studio gangstas" are HARDLY up to the caliber that the best of the underground and the OGs themselves (like Tupac, B.I.G.) had to offer.

i don't listen to much of any rap. willingly, anyway. all i have to go on is snippets of songs that are being offered on commercials as ringtones, and whatever my sister may be listening to.

and i don't NEED to listen to any rap. totally not my preferred genre.

But seriously, what does color have to do with it? I know plenty of people across the "spectrum", who at least remotely like rap, if not outright love to some times scary levels.

Granted. If you were just going to be of that opinion, then so be it. That would be more in the realm of "to each his own".

But, my point is, if you're going to try and say something about an entire genre of music, it doesn't behoove you to use blanket terms, or anything along those lines. It just does more to broadcast what you may not know about it.
