KOFXIII aka the full version of last year's "beta test"

Q: If the character roster is the same as it should have been in KOF12 then three characters I know will show up will be Vice, Takuma, and Hwa Jai (from Fatal Fury 1). I'm guessing that Raiden and Hwa Jai were meant to be the new Chang and Choi since they are on Kim's team and you know Kim and his art of reforming bad guys.

Funny thing is, Kim wouldn't have to work THAT hard, in either of those cases.

Hwa Jai was supposed to have already reformed, following the events of FF1, where he dumped his habit of using his "drugs" in order to fight better. He and Joe are now on "friendly rivals" terms.

Meanwhile, Raiden is basically the "Heel" to his alter ego, Big Bear's, "Face". It likely will just be a thing of Kim of having to "beat" the Heel out of him, at worst.

I can't really complain about XI. I'm just ashamed I wasted 10USD and barey bother to play it.  I play MOtW, SF3:3S, and KOF 2002 still, but XI for PS2 doesn't have online.

K' would be cool. One of my favorite characters, design-wise.
Still keeping my fingers crossed for Vanessa... but I get the feeling I'm one of only a few.

Yeah, King has a lot of bounce considering how little she's moving. She was never really a sex appeal kind of character so I don't see why they made her that way.
Mai on the other hand, could stand to bounce a little more. And a slightly skimpier outfit. Less front, drop the back completely.

Lots of interesting stuff if you have a good eye, or watch it frame by frame. What's interesting? How about K', Kula, Maxima, Hwa Jai, Takuma, and Vice (well, Vice is barely visible but she's there)?

Seeing K', Kula and Maxima makes me a happy man.

Hopefully, a future game will add in a way for Whip to come back. Yes, Leona and the two guys are the more or less established Ikari Warriors, but with K's team seemingly a lock (this is the exact same force from XI), Whip's going to need either Heidern, or possibly another force to join up with...

Whip's return for a next game can easily be solved. Replace Kula with Whip and then return Nameless and Angel to form a team with Kula, everybody wins

Nameless and Angel I can see, since Nameless more or less is the ultimate retcon of a character replacement, and SNK still likes Angel. But why would Kula fool around with them, when she has her boy-toy K'?

If any thing, I'm thinking Heidern acknowledges that [parasitic bomb] is going to likely get even realer in the wake of the Ash Saga's conclusion, and thus, requires the Ikari force to be expanded. Or possibly call upon their buddies in the Metal Slug platoon...?

In fact, according to the KOF Tenth anniversary from years ago, it was confirmed that basically EVERYBODY is still in "alive" status, except for Rugal, Goenitz, Igniz and Both Zero's.

And as we know now, K9999 got retconned away by his replacement "Nameless", and I'd like to think all those Kusanagi clones (except Kusanagi), are all deactivated.

So, the quick answer is that it gives SNK all the leeway they want to be able to bring back practically any one they want. At least they don't have to say anything to the effect of "Oh, he/she got better!"  


Any way, I love the look on Kyo's MAX DM, and Takuma and Vice complete their respective teams (which I also like).
