Any way, this game looks like straight FI-YAH. I don't think even MvC3 got me squealing with such delight.

Well, after reading Elizabeth's team story he never really had much of a chance anyways, I mean, he was still in the hospital after all this time? Damn. You can also notice that he still has a broken arm when you see him on the BG.

Yeah, I remember the storyline detail. But still...Shingo was always one of my fave characters in the KOF series, and I always liked playing as him (even though he hasn't been in tip-top shape since his 98 days of "CRITICALS!").

Also, since XII was just a dream-match, we can assume that XIII likely takes place about a year or so after XI. So whatever bones Iori may have broken when he was wilding out on Shingo may take a while. Hopefully, one of Koyasu's favorite characters to voice will be back in style next time around...

Well, the intro says XIII is in 2010, if they are yearly with the exception of 98 and 02 then...that pretty much fucks up the timeline even more than it already was.

Well, those are just headswaps so it's not that revolutionary. Still, the recolors in this game are really impressing.

[spoiler]Well, it's mostly the music during the whole "Ash apologizes to Elizabeth while he's getting written out of existence" that makes me kinda sad, and then there's his ending with images from his life before and after nonexistance with sad music too.[/spoiler]

You know, looking at how KoFXI was and then seeing how KoFXIII is, did they switch teams in between the two? You look at '03 and XI and they actually seem to be moving forward in time and evolving, with Terry wearing the Garou jacket and such. The plot seems to at least stick together, as well. Then, with XIII, some characters went back to old outfits and stances (Terry, Ryo) while others got new outfits, some were made younger (Athena), and this story seems to go completely off what seemed to be originally happening with 03/XI. I hope the gameplay is at least solid because it's like SNK managed to take just as many steps forwards as they did backwards and ended up right back where they started.

You don't have to worry about the gameplay, everyone says it's awesome. I have no idea why you're saying they're taking steps backwards though, the only thing I would consider that is XII, but even then that's because it had to be rushed and incomplete to get back some money.
