It's cause of the invincibility on startup when you do the Shoryuken motion.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Most people will screw up the motion when trying to do that, especially online.

Yeah, it's the invincibility start by command input. I don't do any shoryuken without the input. Being a SF vet it seems easy enough to do.

And it looks like I'll have to try the Shoryuken input sometime.

Been playing a lot of Roy lately, and his inclusion really sinks in the fact of how terrible Marth (and Lucina by extension) are in the current version. The lack of hitstun and amount of lag forces Marth to be a walling character rather than someone who can apply pressure and consistently string damage. And considering how many characters either have projectiles or insanely fast rushdown (or both!), Marth has so many poor matchups it's not even funny.

I've consistently seen tier lists where Marth is at the bottom (along with the rest of the Fire Emblem crew, though Ike was clearly designed for FFA/casuals), so I'm definitely not alone with this opinion.

On a different note, this is really frustrating not seeing anything regarding Wave 5A NA preorders. We have 1.5 week until July hits, and based on amiibo kiosks, it's very probable both Palutena and Dark Pit are exclusives (the latter, Best Buy), read: you miss the online preorder window, have fun hunting it in the wild or dealing with second-hand market.

I just imported Marth, Lucina, and Robin from amazon co jp using Tenso. I'm actually surprised that, in bulk, it comes out only $16/amiibo after shipping because of the exchange rate.

Oh, and if you're wondering why I didn't just import wave 5: I actually have a NA NiB collection that I display on my wall.

Chances are we'll see US Palutena and Dark Pit get pushed back or not come out till the very end of July.

I've already got a JP Palutena and a UK Dark Pit headed my way alongside a JP Ganondorf. I'm done with the US incompetence with the last few waves, retailer exclusives and very limited windows of availability alongside near radio silence is enough to drive somebody mad. I'll willingly pay more if it means I don't have to put up with that.

Though right now my focus is a Japanese ROB. Nothing against the NES colored one but I like the Red/White look more than the Gray/Dark Gray one.

Man, I powered up Brawl today to hack the two trophies I never got (Blue Alloy and Stickers).  That character select screen looks so tiny by comparison, for a moment I thought I damaged my save data.

So, update 1.0.9 on WiiU.  Apparently it does absolutely nothing?

Okay, does that Yoshi have a Smash Ball magnet ability on it? That's the only explanation I can think of for how they literally only went towards you and pretty much instantly broke.

Nope, Yoshi's all brawn, no skills.  He's just awesome in the air.

Some great Smashes, sir.  We'll have to do it again sometime.

Then that was absolute bullshit, game. Yoshi needs ZERO [tornado fang]ing HELP getting Smash Balls and every one went towards you. Honestly, if you didn't kill me that last match, I was throwing myself off cause there was little point.

Other than that, yeah good matches. Had fun tonight.

Don't you remember my grabbing the better half of Smash Balls in Brawl?  Yoshi has among the best air speeds in the game, really comes in handy.

And holy crap, that ZSS vs Greninja match was nuts.

I'm well aware of how easy it is for Yoshi to get the Smash Ball. The air speed + strong air attacks are great for it. Haha, my point is that in that last Zelda/Yoshi match, it literally hovered around you perfectly.
