Barely got them? Luckier than most I would imagine. I mean Ness was pretty short-stocked too but Jigglypuff and Greninja were actually rather well-stocked by each of their respective stores from my understanding. Lucina and Robin looked to be the hardest ones to obtain this wave.

Well I did get the Charizard and Pac-Man Amiibo on the day I went to get Splatoon and snagged the Splatoon Amiibo 3-Pack.

Also I ordered the Robin and Lucina Amiibos on Amazon as it was the only way for me to get it in my area considering the LACK of them. I rather not say what the price was, but DAMN! Never ordering Amiibos on Amazon ever again!

I had Captain Falcon ordered a few days ago and he arrived yesterday, along with Ness (who wasn't estimated to get here until the 8th at the earliest--guess we live fairly close to the GameStop warehouse). Also picked up Fox from the USPS office.

The state of my amiibo collection, counting ones I'm waiting on and not counting non-Smash: almost all of Wave 1 except Marth and Villager, all of Wave 2 but Little Mac, half of Waves 3 and 4. Now if only most of the ones I'm missing weren't so expensive.

How much are they on eBay? I spent about $50 for both Robin and Lucina each, not including S&H taxes of course. Is eBay that worse?

eBay prices for rarer amiibo tend to hover in the $30+ range, IIRC. I recommend going there only as an absolute last resort; even importing would be a better idea.


To paraphrase one of my own posts made elsewhere, an idea I hope that Nintendo considers in the future: making amiibo for dropped Melee/Brawl fighters that simply give you bonus content upon scanning. And convince Konami to let them make a Snake amiibo so that there won't be a conspicuous hole in that wave.

My Ness came in yesterday.

Until I get Lucina, Robin, Greninja and Wario I can't be 100%, but I think he might be my favorite this wave followed by Pac-Man.

(For reference my favorites in the previous 3 waves are Fox, Zelda and Shulk.)

Then again I love all of these [tornado fang]ing things. They might be a [sonic slicer] to acquire sometimes, but damn if they aren't a lot of fun.

One of my little sisters also got Marth, and my other sister got Pit; no luck on Lucina or Robin, sadly, but snagging Marth for less than $40 sorta made up for it.

Wow! I got my Robin Amiibo (Japanese Version) in the mail today, I'm shocked! I was expecting Robin and Lucina to come in the mail next month as it mentioned at least July 1st as the earliest I would get it. Can't wait for the Lucina Amiibo to show up soon, now.

Wave 5 is out in Japan; Amazon has some imports, though apparently they're expensive (haven't seen for myself yet). Gonna wait a bit to see if prices go down.

Cleared the entire Challenge panel on WiiU today.  Got 9.0 without losing a life, after some persistence, with an Attack-focused Yoshi.  Kept a hammer for posterity but used the other 4: All-Star on Hard as everyone, Classic 9.0 in 12 minutes as Marth (because who DOESN'T hammer those two?), all special moves, and 9.0 without customizations.

I still need to clear All Star as more characters to get those Final Smash trophies, though.  And on the 3DS side, clearing All-Star and 100 Man as everyone is all I have left for Challenge Panel 3.

I didn't hammer that one. I remember getting that one pretty easily with some strength ups. But if you don't work well with Marth I can understand.

I'm not a good tipper; vastly prefer Lucina.  But my bigger issue is the time limit: being unable to bide my time with a high-level CPU, or for that matter Master Fortress, is a pain.

In non-personal news, there will likely be more restocks in the future. PlayAsia is also setting a $30 USD price cap on amiibo and working to improve on other relevant issues.
