Seriously. I thought this was a joke when I first heard it on another forum but it looks like we may see that Donald Duck/Hulk team-up no one dreamed about. So what do you guys think? Is this a good thing, or a sign of the apocalypse?

Come and read some Thoughts of a Platypus

*expects a series of Hannah Montana comics to go wrong following both the end of Spiderman and Mickey Mouse as we know it*

That's.. unfourtunate, but I'll bet they will bring back DuckTales in the form of comics.

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Irgendein

The phrase "What the hell is wrong with this world?" comes to mind, but I don't read comics so I'm not that concerned... unless they start making educational Disney shows with Marvel characters  ::)

Sub Tank

Does this mean the X-Men will be in the next Kingdom Hearts game?

I was thinking more of the Civil War comics when I first thought of it.

What does this mean for the Marvel section at the Universal Studios themepark?

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Then Universal would have DC in place instead~  :)

Wolverine in every disney movie from now on.

Satoryu

is this really going to change anything? how is this different from DC being owned by Warner Bros.?

What happens in Vegas stays on Youtube. I also stream on Twitch from time to time.

First off, I think they already did actually. Secondly, merging with other thread now.

EDIT: Done. Yay, I didn't screw it up! XD

Fxeni

Huh... didn't see the other topic. I blame lack of sleep and constant distractions due to my dad's situation :P

Anywho, it has potential for some interesting crossovers, both in a good and very very bad way. Here's to hoping Disney lets Marvel do it's thing.

Protoman Blues

Honestly, it's a good thing.  The one thing DC always had over Marvel, from a business standpoint, was the financial backing of Warner Bros. which pretty much means that DC Comics will never go bankrupt.  Now that Disney owns Marvel, it essentially means the same thing.  From a comic standpoint, I also think it's a pretty good move.  Disney's not going to interfere with the comics, and maybe it can buy back some movie rights that Fox owns and make GOOD movie franchises out of them (Fantastic Four comes to mind).  Also, this opens up interesting and exciting possibilities, like Disney Animated, or dare I say, PIXAR ANIMATED Marvel Comic Movies (For the record, Incredibles is still my favorite Pixar movie).  Oooooooooh, and a Marvel Comics land at Disney, meaning I don't have to go to Universal Studio?  It'd make the happiest place on Earth EVEN HAPPIER FOR PB!

Anyway, PB approves of this wholeheartedly!

If Disney goes back to making hand-drawn movies again, some Marvel comics could GREATLY benefit from this.

Fxeni

You know, considering that The Incredibles was basically a better Fantastic Four Movie than... well, the Fantastic Four movies, it's true that that sounds so very tempting. A tad unlikely, mind you, but the image in my head is awesome XD

Also,

I couldn't help but post this when I saw it.

Also if Disney went back to making hand-drawn Saturday Morning Cartoons again as well.

What does Disney even WANT with Marvel? These two worlds couldn't be more apart from one another.

I'd say the potential for more cash. Also, something to reel in boys, since most of their stuff nowadays is decidedly geared towards the female demographic.

The second coming of the Disney Afternoon?! Impossible.

It's more for the business aspect than anything else.  Disney's not going to screw with the comics, and I thought I read on Kotaku that they're not going to look to fully acquire some of the Video Game licenses either.

Warner owns them already, and they already have DC rollercoasters and stuff at Six Flags.
