What do you mean? God Forbid an X8 Iwamoto manga?

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Exactly haha
His style's fine, but man, not for Rockman of all things. I'll never forget the bunch of weird, thick eyebowed, heavily eyelashed faces of practically everyone in the series

With his current style, it can actually work more than with his old one.
I needed some time to adjust when I read his X1 manga some long time ago.
I remember that when I showed this manga to a "friend" of mine, he replied something along the lines:
"THIS IS UGLY! I'M NOT GOING TO READ SOMETHING THAT UGLY!"

Yeah.

Another subject is Akira Toriyama. I'd shudder if he were to draw a Mega Man character.. *shudders the thought of Mega Man X looking a lot like Cell* but alas, times change yo? There's always room for improvements.

I took a good look at Iwamoto's style again and the eyebrows aren't as thick (along with the overall outlines he had going on) as they were during his X1-4 run, he's certainly improved since then. But for dialouge.. eh, I'm ready for some corny soujo shishkabob for the -eventual- X5-8 adaptions.

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Iwamoto always says hes terrible at drawing Women. He's too modest. Merti was pretty hot. And he's got Layer's underboob down perfectly.

Also, I enjoyed his X1-4. The style was simply different from what Capcom usually does. Sigma was definitely one ugly mofo, but then again, Id expect no less from chrome dome. His style did certainly improve though. I remember X's head to eye ratios ever changing in the X1 manga. later down the road his X started lookin' real sharp. (mainly X2 onward)

I certainly loved the liberty he took with story and characters.
(and apparently capcom did too, since they borrowed his Zero-Eagle acquaintance.)

Really? What's his new style?
Yeah the first manga was quite a..shock. Your friend's attitude sums it up. I still read it though and I loved it. But man, it was weird haha

After seeing the faces of eveyone from X1 to X4 with that old style, I don't think X8 would be a good idea. Those navigators look nice though

Really? I thought he drew women fine. Layer looks like she needs help chesting those, they look like bombs about to explode.
X4  X was the manliest.
I liked how reinvented character stories, but some were really dumb. I mean, an eagle guy with a girflriend? Please. He ruined Flame Mammoth too.

About a 3rd had girlfriends in the manga actually. (X/Merti, Eagle/Teal, Zero/Iris(? Can't recall the X4 manga), etc.) Some plot points in the manga were confusing, as there was no flashback on Octopus' part. How'd they make that deal again?  o~O

Whats wrong with Eagle gettin' some?

I didnt mind what he did with Mammoth. It was interesting, especially the way he could repair his body with reploid body parts. Makes it a bit more body horror from a robot's POV. and a bit more psych horror for X.

Gaia:Not sure what you mean about Octopus flashback.

I meant is when Merti made the deal with Octopus to protect the oceans before the betrayal. Not sure where that came from, but.. Everything else seemed to be backstory heavy.. sans Octopus. I guess Iwamoto didin't want to undermine Merti with huge amounts of dialouge.

Do you know how many times I was unable to share some really good art because it was porn/nude or gay? It's kinda sad. But it's still good art and I can enjoy it. If someone else wants to not see some good art, that's their choice.

Post it anyway. (The gay, not the porn) If someone takes offense to it when there's nothing offensive about it, that's their own damn problem.

Both ganked from Retromags:

From an issue of Dreamcast Monthly. Admittedly, the only MM-related content is that one screenshot.

THIS is more like it. From Super Game Power #10 (1995), a Brazilian game magazine. Love how Hardcore Edition Rush is also blue. (There's a review/strategy thing for MMX2, but it might just be a translated version of Gamepro's review/strategy thing. And the above pic might have originated in Gamepro, too...)

lol, the only one I can't seem to recognize ot of the bunch is Plethora. Some connection to the DBZ JRPG that featured Hatchiyack or a Kid Chameleon's bad guy? Can't tell. XD
