I don't know then, I don't watch subtitled or multi-audio videos.

Turian

First, go here: CCCP That "might" solve your problem.

Next, check your Audio drivers and make sure they are updated, also check your setting and make sure that the audio is enabled.

Lastly, Make sure your Media Player is pointed to the right directory where the subtitles are stored, if they are combined into the .MKV file, check your subtitle settings within the player.

It was working fine just yesterday until last night when it needed the charger or the computer to turn on. I thought powering it down for a bit until I turn it back on today but it didn't work even when I puty it on the charger and my computer doesn it see it like it usually does. What is going on? Does anyone have this problem?

Here is the model:

V-Bop 4GB MP3 Player

Visual Land V-Bop 4 GB

Does anyone know how to reset this?

STM

Hey there, you crazy techies. STM's been having his computer act up lately with some fun BSODings. Perhaps one of you can help me track down the little bastard component causing it.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Stop Error 0x0000000A (0x498D4151, 0x00000002, 0x000000000, 0x804D9AFA)

It's obviously some driver causing an issue, though I've not upgraded anything in while. Think it could be some hardware failing?

(God I wish Microsoft would make these things easier to read for ordinary people. Hate cryptic errors.)

Turian

I'm not one hundred percent on this one, but I am pretty sure that's a fake screen saver designed to look like a BSOD.

You may try running this to uninstall the screen saver.

Failing that, try this:

STM

Can't be a screensaver since I've never installed that and all scans from my scumware detectors came back negative.

I had a feeling it had to do with the system temp and thus the fan. Here's where it gets fun. The bolt that secures the fan in the system is jammed and the philips-style slot to remove it is stripped.

Police Girl

Well, good news for me. I managed to get my computer in full working order again, I managed to retrieve my files that were "Lost" so now Its like I never lost my computer to an NTFS Glitch! :D

Now If I could get the damn speakers to work...

keiang

Right, figured I'd try here. My computer can't recognize .exes. It can activate them, but I have to left click and scroll down to the option labeled start, double clicking makes it want to open the exe using another program for some reason. I already looked into my rundll32.exe, which wasn't the problem apparently.

What OS are you running?

This isn't a problem with my computer or anything but I figured this was the best place to ask. Quick question, I'm getting a netbook soon for school and I don't anything beefed up...I just need to know...does Microsoft 7 come with Works? Or does it vary from laptop to laptop? Thanks in advance.

Depends. Also, you'd only be able to get a digital copy because netbooks don't have CD/DVD drives. Netbooks are only designed to go on the internet. They have very little space and RAM, so even asking it to handle Office is a bit too demanding. Get a laptop if you want to do things like that.

Psycho Yuffie

It sounds like a program has become associated with .exe files. That's really weird.

keiang

Yeah, I fixed the problem on my own. And by that I mean a few choice words, google, and a link to this website: http://www.dougknox.com/

Thanks anyway though.

I have trouble recovering my portable hard drive and just plain creating a partition for it now. Because of a blackout that occurred in my area, my netrwork shares are gone and my portable harddrive has been corruptesd so I attempted to restore said harddrive meanwhile making sure that the other is alright. I found that I could not access the harddrive so I attempted to format it however I accidentally deleted all my files on my good portable harddrive :upset: as well as my other one. I am trying to recover my files while create an NTFS partition om external harddrives but I keep getting that I cannot access the drives neither can reformat because the drives aren't partition so I am basically roaming around in circles. Can anyone help me?

Here are the drives:

HAMMER Morespace

Seagate FreeAgent XTreme 500GB USB 2.0

If all you really need is a simple word processor, Wordpad will get the job done. It comes with Windows, usually in Accessories and has good file support. I recommend .rtf for most versatility while keeping formatting.

Psycho Yuffie

He could also download OpenOffice from openoffice.org. It's free and has equivalent programs for the entire Microsoft Office suite.

Solar

Ok, this is weird. My microSD memory says that it's using 1.8 GBs, but at the most it only has like 360 MB. The first number would make sense if a folder that somehow disappered some days ago when my brother was using it was still there, but if it's there I don't see it anywhere in the memory =/

Any idea anyone?

Dr. Wily II

Try plugging it to a Linux machine, the folder might just pop up. ._.

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Solar

Don't have access to one =/

Anyways, I should correct myself, it's not the folder which disappeared, it was all of its contents, and after seeing that there was nothing I deleted it.

Dr. Wily II

Well, Linux has this way of revealing such stuff...
Either way, if you can, it's one way to try out.

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

The "Fn" key on my laptop isn't functioning properly. I am using an ASUS Eee PC 1005HA. Anybody know a solution to my problem?

EDIT: I restarted my laptop and it's now working again. Disregard this post.

Hmmm, that is very strange. I have a feeling it might have something to do with the Hard Drive. Try substituting it for another one.

Describe what it does when it starts up. Does the BIOS start up? (It's the first screen you'll see, it's what loads the OS) There may be hope yet if it does.
