No. I guess I could have explained it a bit better.
See, it was my intention to have Riff walk like this:
And instead of dashing in the traditional way, he would run, like this:
The reasoning behind my decision to do this stemmed from being told about the pseudo-platforming stages in the game that my sidestep animation wouldn't otherwise work in, thus I would require a standard run animation.
Then I was told that having him sidestep in battle and run in action stages would complicate things unnecesarily, so his run would be his primary movement in battle as well. Thus I had to create a standard dash.
