(Not sure we really need Grifter's Wind element since quite a few party members have Wind elemental attacks and Calien and Sakura do have Earth elemental attacks too, though as I noted before Sakura rarely uses Earth attacks in the first place, but I'm not sure we need the Power Gem from Ryalie either. But it's up to you.

However let's see what the heck is going on with the Chaos Rift first.)

"Wh-what's going on? Why is the rift glowing all bright like that?" Pema grabbed onto Fxeni tighter.

"We'd better not wait and find out. Quickly, let's try the Professor's hypothesis: Use the reverse element of the symbol indicated!" Salem spoke quickly.

"Roger that!" She nodded and prepared a fire spell.

"Fxeni, it may be best for you to try another mirror, so we use as many elements as possible." Salem stated.

Toshi - "No sense standing around." she performed a hand seal sequence: Boar → Dog → Ram
"Suiton: Hahonryū!!"

Forming water spiraling in her hand, she thrusts it against the mirror bearing the fire symbol.

(Not sure what happens next. So I'll probably be waiting on Blue for the response.

But now I'm concerned about one thing; who uses darkness?)

(Sakura does, it's actually her specialty among the elements, also Fxeni you want to find the Earth Mirror since we're trying opposite elements first.)

Sakura and Calien went to the Light and Wind mirrors respectively and hit them with Demon Fang and a Earth Enchanted Boomerang respectively.

(Sapph should probably go to the Darkness mirror since he apparently can use Light Elemental Spells by himself.)

The Professor just watched, hoping that his hunch was correct. He didn't want to find out of the wrong actions proved deadly.

"Not the choice I would have made, but... here goes," Fxeni said as he pointed his short spear at the Earth mirror. He muttered an incantation under his breath, and a various blades of wind began to fly into the mirror.

As the elements hit their respective mirrors---nothing happened?

Before they could comment on what might have gone wrong the portal began to lower to the center of the room, a single blue energy sphere appears around it orbiting the chaos rift. Suddenly Blizzard spells begin being cast and the party.

The Professor looked around for an escape, not wanting to be frozen again. He was standing in the middle of the room, looking up at the portal. As wind and cold whipped around him, his gaze went to the blue energy sphere.

"Has... has Blizzard M-master returned...?"

Toshi - "That can't be." wrapping her scarf over her nose, covering her mouth, as if to shield her face from the blizzard. "He was vaporized by Hellhound. There's no way he could of survived"

Realizing she's not wearing her winter outfit, the chill began to take its toll on her body. "Goddamn, what a horrible time to have a blizzard in here!" she complained, trying her best to shake off the unbearable cold.

"No, I don't think that's him," Salem said. "This may be part of the puzzle."

Pema stared at the blue sphere that seemed to be casting the Blizzard spells, then turned her head to the Water mirror. "Hmm, maybe if I..."

She aimed her staff at the Water mirror and unleashed a large fireball, hoping to combat the Blizzard spell with the reverse element.

The fireball connected and the Water themed Mirror shattered, the vortex then summoned a green sphere and began casting small cyclones that slowly moved around the room trying push around the party while lightning bolts randomly rained down.

"Eureka! One point for me!" Pema cheered.

"Don't celebrate quite yet, we still have to deal with whatever this... thing is." Salem stated and glided to the right, dragging Pema away from a lightning bolt that struck near her.

"Nice save! Thanks, Salem." She regained her bearings and watched cautiously for the incoming onslaught.

Like before it seemed to have the desired effect the earth magic shattered the wind mirror and the vortex summoned a red orb, however this time two smaller vortexs opened at the far side of the room spewing corrupted ghost like creatures that while barely a threat individually could pose a issue if allowed to spawn.

(We still waiting for Sakura's question to be answered, whether the effect taking place right now is darkness related. But since the orb's red I'll assume fire.)

Toshi - "Right!" she aswered; ignoring whatever specters spawning from the two locations, she then repeated her previous jutsu.

"Hahonryū!!" striking the fire mirror with the spiraling water in her palm, hoping it'll work this time.

The Mirror shattered as expected, the next sphere was a earthy brown colour and it's spells began to summon spikes of earth below party members at random. The minor minions continued to spawn no matter how many Aya and the others slew.

"Fxeni get to the Earth Mirror!" Calien shouted as he felled a ghost with his Axe while Sakura barely avoided a Spike causing a gash on her leg to appear.
