Joe meeped as he was shoved in front of Mewtwo. Staring at his narrowed eyes, Joe can't help but feel VERY intimidated. "... E-Eh... H-Hi there-e-e?"
Mewtwo stared hard at Joe as he approached.
"Don't be shy," Lee nodded to Joe, "talk to him."
"We'll hold him down," Kirby added as he forced Mewtwo into a crouch and put him in a headlock. "No one's going to hurt you. Just relax."
"Just check it over, G," Domino nodded, then looked to the wardens. "You bring anything to control it, with? Gideon doesn't have much experience with larger Pokemon."
"Yeah, we could tranq him for you, put him in a twilight state," Lee started rummaging in his bag, pulling out a wrapped, prefilled syringe. "Hang onto him." He unwrapped the syringe and looked to Mewtwo. "I'm just gonna give you a little shot to calm you down, okay? You might feel a little drowsy, but it won't knock you out. Just relax, and I'll make this quick..." He nodded to Kirby. "Make sure he doesn't round on me."
"I got him," Kirby tightened his grip. "Okay, big guy, eyes on me. It'll just be a sting, only hurt for a second."
"I'll count it down, okay?" Lee positioned himself at Mewtwo's hip. "One, two, three--" he injected the contents and backed up, "all done. Good boy, handled that like a pro."
Kirby released Mewtwo from the headlock. "Stay down, as once that hits, you don't want to stand up too fast. You'll get dizzy. Just stay down and let these guys look you over, then we'll leave you alone."
Mewtwo glared at Joe and Domino, but said nothing.
"After we're done with this interrogation, I'll issue another report on the number of recruits authorized in our general patrol," Jenny said, "But right now, our main concern is Mewtwo and its fate in the hands of the organization that is fighting for its ownership."
She stops the recorder to flip the tape over, then presses record again, "We will investigate the incidents in Saffron City to see if it's relevant to Mewtwo's fate. But as I've stated before, there have been no reports of an increased number of his species, and we don't have the proper information to trust that it can be safely returned to you. The best we can do is issue a warrant to be involved in any observation and experiment performed by the organization's specialists, and ensure they keep any harmful devices to testing out its attack strength and control. But until then, we have been advised to keep you and Mewtwo as far from physical contact as possible. The most you can do is observe it from the window room, but as par protocol, it should not know you're there, and you cannot speak to it until further permission is granted."
Quickie nodded slowly. She decided to keep her own methods of contacting Mewtwo to herself. Best to not incriminate him any further by alerting the authorities to any telepathic link.
