In the night breeze, an ominous wind carried through the air and upon it's streams, Ahrzayl glided on her Charizard. They both descended from the clouds as they parted and circled the peak of Mt. Moon. Ahrzayl's eyebrows furrowed as she began to make out the man who had summoned her. Next to him was a kneeling figure and could only guess who it was. Ahrzayl breathed heavily, holding back tears that began to well up in her eyes, and circled again to land near the two. Charizard touched down and Ahrzayl jumped off, returning her pokemon to its ball, and almost running over to Steiner.
"Ah ah ah, my dear. We wouldn't want someone being thrown off from such a height, now would we?" Steiner taunted as he nudged Julia toward the edge, who couldn't bare to look up and reveal what Steiner had done to her.
Ahrzayl growled as she halted in her steps. "Steiner...what do you want? I...I'll do anything. Just let her go. I know I'm what you want and she has nothing to do with it. So please, I'm begging you." Ahrzayl begged only to receive a mad laugh from the scientist.
"You? You think I want YOU? You're nothing but a frail mind in a frail body. This world has tainted such a beautiful creature and turned you into a soft, naive, child. I need you for what I want. And what I want is EXACTLY what you can become. That, my lovely, is what I've always wanted." Steiner explained. "But you've been rude to our guest. You've not even said hello to your witch!" He grabbed Julia by her hair and lifted her head up.
Ahrzayl choked on her words, trying to call out to her friend. She covered her mouth with one hand and reached out to her. A metal plate was screwed to Julia's mouth, preventing her from even speaking. Her eyes were dark from experiencing so much pain and torment. Of course, the torment that Steiner had gone through just getting here had only made him crazier. Julia could barely look up but had enough in her to turn her head away slightly.
I'm...sorry Julia. I couldn't prevent this. I shouldn't have gone without you." Ahrzayl grit her teeth and almost made a dash for it only to have Steiner nudge Julia more, stopping her in her tracks once again. Ahrzayl fell to her knees and screamed.
"Steiner! I'll go with you just let her go!" She let out. "Just please...don't hurt her anymore. I'll do or be whatever you want. Please."
"Oh, my dear, I need you to suffer first. I NEED you to suffer. I want you broken! beaten! and wallowing in despair so that I may have my way with you." Steiner smiled.
Ahrzayl kneeled and tried to get up. Suddenly and sheer cold dagger hit her back and arched her. An icy blue patch formed on her chest and a light blue beam of energy erupted from her. The beam ceased but the freezing feeling that coursed through her remained. Ahrzayl's eyes widened as she tried clutching her chest only to feel a smooth icy surface. She let out a squeaky cough that formed a cold mist.
"Ahh, thank you for finally joining us...Froslass. I see the process was quicker that I had imagined." Steiner laughed as he adjusted his glasses.
Ahrzayl strained to turn around and what she saw made her break down, her vision hazy. Froslynn's once white coat was now dark and black, her sash a deep purple. A dark aura surrounded the pokemon and it's eyes were filled with dark intentions.
"You see, your good for nothing pokemon tried to stop me. It managed to figure out what I was doing and actually tried to stop me. I have a very low tolerance for things that try to detour me from what I need to accomplish. I saw the determination and that worthless care for you in it and figured it'd be a powerful tool to use in drawing you in. It seems that it had a lot of stored guilt and sadness welled up inside, I merely turned it into something it could actually use. What those were for would be anyone's guess but what you need to know now is that it's a ruthless killing machine. Why, I could even have it dispose of this witch right here in front of you. I personally would love to analyze the results." Steiner expalined once again, adjusting his glasses.
"Fros...lynn." Ahrzayl tried to say as cold air passed her lips. "Steiner...please." She begged again trying to look up at him.
Steiner threw Julia to the ground and walked slowly toward Ahrzayl. From behind his back, he enlarged a mysterious type of pokeball, coated in black with a dark red button. The clouds cleared the sky, showing the bright moon above them.
"Ahrzayl, my goddess of destruction, do you want to know what I had found in coming here and through me research? An experiment that combined Pokemon and human DNA. The process had never been attempted in human history which led me to explore the outside a bit more. In coming here, I found similar information but in the language of Clefairys. Both piles of data that seemed so far apart were connecting and made so much sense. Could you fathom a being that could think like a human but posses the powers of a pokemon? No, I doubt you could but I did and my thoughts led me to you. I researched the energies such a being would have and all the clues led me to you. You, my lovely miracle. Why the pokemon from space would leave such a wonderful creature behind is beyond me but I intend to make the absolute most of the treasure they discarded. How, you ask? Well, by making you mine first, of course. You see, you are half human which allows you to fool anyone who comes across you. Not to mention, it allows you to have that most...appealing body. But! Do you know why Team Rocket saw you as a great asset? You were able to control other pokemon, even other trainer's and made them join our cause. You've used Hypnosis, metronome, and even a variety of moves...only pokemon would know to capture pokemon for us. Of course, blacking out every time hid the fact from you but so did the wench and your pokemon partner. They've seen and helplessly watched as you used your powers and never said anything to you. And here you were, thinking you could trust some "friends" and have a normal life. You can't and never will. You're half pokemon. And you're all mine." Steiner laughed maniacally,
"But..." Ahrzayl tried saying as she stumbled to her feet.
"Ah ah! No time for talking. There's much "work" to be done." Steiner said as he looked over Ahrzayl's body.
He rose his pokeball above his head and a red energy snaked out of it. The static like waves fell upon the weakened girl and covered her body. Ahrzayl looked at her hand and her body being absorbed. She looked up at Julia, who was trying to scream through the plate as she watched the scene, before everything turned red. Julia tossed and turned but couldn't break her restraints and soon just laid there and cried. Nothing was left of her friend but the pokeballs that dropped to the ground. She stopped and looked toward the sky, feeling more helpless than she had ever felt.
Steiner held his doomball firmly in his grasp as it tried to shake but soon relaxed as it locked. He proceeded to laugh. Louder and more evilly than ever before. It echoed into the sky and throughout the caves and tunnels, past the burnt bodies of clafairys, and all the way down to the Superia. With Ahrzayl finally in his possession and Froslass under his control, his plans could move forward. There was still one thing that needed to take care of and turned to walk back toward Julia.
"Usually we would burn your kind at the stake but I would hate to waste such resources on a utter worthlessness. I take that a nice trip down the side of this mountain should handle things for me. I wish I could see you smashed to a bloody pulp on whatever rock happens to be so lucky to have you disgrace it with your mess but I must get going. A world to take over, pokemon to harness, things like that." Steiner said as he placed his shoe on Julia's shoulder. "It hasn't been the least been fun witch, but you served your purpose quite nicely. I'll see to it that Ahrzayl is kept in very good care. I'll tell her that you killed yourself in agony and in sheer cowerdess. Goodbye." He finished coldly as he pushed Julia over the edge.
Julia tried to struggle but to no avail and fell over the side. She kicked and wriggled and disappeared in the clouds. Behind Steiner, a red flash brightened the area unnoticed, Charizard had released itself from its pokeball and dove over the side as well. Disappointed a little bit that he couldn't at least see Julia hit something on her way down, he turned and made his way back to the cavern opening. The shadow pokemon stared at where Julia had fallen from until it was ordered ti follow its new master. They both disappeared into the darkness of the mountain.
