That’s a good idea but would be weird if the person is already charging when hit. And I think the low health more damage would be more fun to play with, thanks for the input though.


Need another opinion. Do you guys think mugshots are a must need? Does it improve the dialogs or colored text works fine?

I don't think it's a must have, but I think it would be pretty awesome if they had Mugshots.

Also, your avatar kicks major [tornado fang]ing ass.

Would be nice if they look like the mugshots from MMX1. But not mandatory.

I think that either one works. You can mix both mugs and colored text really. Mugshots worked very good in X1, so why not here? But maybe it's too much extra work.

Colored text is a less pain, especially since (I think) you will be using either a color code for each character and have a preset font for all of them, or you actually use letters and symbols stored in multiple images.

Either way, I like both the ideas mixed together. ^^

I don’t know why but the animation is two times slower here.
Btw, new video coming out later tonight ;).

My main concern with mugshots is that I won’t have for all NPC’s not even the major ones. X1 only has X, Zero, Dr. Light, Vile and Sigma I guess. Would it be weird if only those characters have mugshots?

I'm using, X3 font, i don't think it's that bad to read. I'll post screens here later on so you guys can comment on it.

in X1, only X, Zero, Vile and Light had one. Sigma went unmugged. That's why he was so angry.
But it doesn't bother me personally.

I could try making mugshots, but I'm not sure I can pull it off.

So, I'll make sigma's first and see if it's any good...where's some concept art?

How curious, i also work with flash 8. Mainly because: 1. It's the best flash since flash 5,  2. I tried Adobe flash but the requeriments are too high and my poor machine suffers,  3. Because i'm too confortable writing classes in actionscript 2.0, why change ?, if it aint broken dont fix it.

That competition seems fun, but there is no location over here. Good luck on it and I would like to see what you come up with.

I just made the difficulty levels of the game and I need some ideas for the name of them, I would like something more specific to MMX than just Easy, Normal, Hard... Maybe something like Reploid, Maverick Hunter, any ideas?

Some screens of the Phoenix Buster.



It looks like the charge shot takes up it's own weapon energy, or is that either a weapon you pick up or a special weapon that comes equipped on the Phoenix Buster?

btw, because I'm lazy, have you decided on the whole set of armor thing, or are you sticking with just the Phoenix and Ultimate armor?
