Well, DP did get the Toys'R'Us distribution of Darkai back in 2008...
Still it is a Wonder Card, so it might be transferable to DP, unless something comes into play, like how Darkrai is lv50 in Platinum, while it's lv40 in DP...

See, they may just say it's only for Platinum, but it could very well work for Diamond and Pearl. At any rate, it's still worth trying out.
They could easily check your version before downloading, I'd imagine, since they have to for events that actually are Platinum-exclusive.  Whether or not they actually bother, that's another story.

The most we can really do is wait until Monday, I guess. I would like to believe that Diamond and Pearl would be included too, since the people with those versions shouldn't be punished for not getting Platinum, but this IS Nintendo... who are usually pretty assholish with their Pokemon titles and promos.

I dunno that breeding for like a decade to get good IVs really counts as playing, and that's all I seem to get up to with pokemon these days, so...

I'll give you a battle if you want one though. Diamond can play with Platinum, right? Yeah, of course it can. Be silly otherwise.

Breeding for IVs and such counts only if you're planning on going into the competitive scene.

Otherwise it's just overkill for any trainer in game.

I may have to rework my team before I start battling people, though.

IVs any good? Going for good IV legendaries is such a pain.

They're nothing to call home about really, his Sp. Attack is only 394 with maxed EVs.

From the sounds of your posts, you guys tend to use Legendary Pokes.

This could be problematic for my non-legendary team.

...Maybe I should restore my "Deity Arceus" team again...

Dusk Balls only work for certian Pokemon, otherwise it looks stupid when they're released.

But that's just me.

Darkrai, Gengar and Dusknoir benefit from the visual effect.

I'm strange enough that I actually pay attention to the Pokeball I use to capture something so it's nearly the same color or has a visual effect that compliments on release.

Yeah, I'm pretty bored to even consider doing that.
