Gaming / Re: Street Fighter vs. Tekken
« on: August 02, 2011, 07:25:56 AM »Oh god, the last thing we need is (another) extremely overpowered character. His Ultra takes 75% off your health bar. And his Super is hard to dodge unless you use a projectile character correctly.
Zangief's like that in every game, though. He's slow, but his grabs do loads of damage and he's pretty bulky HP-wise. The problem with him (and other characters of his archetype - no pun intended) is that he has a horrible time getting in. I've never really considered him overpowered as his huge size was just an indicator that he's a big target for combos.
Thinking about it now, since Zangief wrestles bears at his spare time would that make fan's dreams come true if Panda's involved (get it? A bear wrestler AND a bear in the same game)?
Well, Kuma and Panda have been sharing the same character slot since Tekken 3 (and as such a moveset), so I'd honestly be surprised if Panda wasn't a costume change for Kuma. I wonder if Kuma/Panda will be a grappler-style character (360's and all that jazz). If so, this may be the first time I actually pick one up.

Oh, did anyone else catch the moment during the MvC3 tourney where Seth accidentally called Zero Megaman? Skisonic's reply was gold:

Kuma and Ibuki confirmed! Zangief's pretty much a given now (at least I hope so).

Juno did mention 10,000 workers aboard Eden. I've always pictured a bunch of little robot critters running around the island killing everything off, but it could be something different. I can't imagine 10,000 of anything else fitting in that thing.

That would explain a lot for the Marvel side. The game is filled with X-Men as it is, although I did want to see Venom return. As for Capcom, it's nice to hear that MM was a finalist, but getting left out for Nemesis and Firebrand still strikes me as odd.

The only way a Phoenix inclusion could get better is if every now and again, his Objection bubble would switch between "Hold That", "Salty" & "Free".
That, or some more Yipes quotes:

Doesn't beat those CvS2 normals. Cammy's HP and Sagat's HP were like +10 on hit AND block. Anywho, there's a vid of said trailer now:

I'm pretty sure that Strider's orbs being a Level 3 is just temporary for the beta (like Storm's cinematic lvl1). You don't even get meter during it, which is a high price to pay. Clockw0rk's not gonna be happy otherwise.

Those "2" being Shuma Gorath and Battleslut Jill.
*counts all characters + 12*
Well dang, that is 50. I guess they were talking about porting over Jill and Shuma, and not adding anymore. I mean, there's always a chance that they'll add some more, but still, I'm pretty surprised that he (or Venom) didn't make it due to the popularity polls.

Lol @ people thinking Megaman's not gonna make it in. While I won't revolt or anything if he doesn't get in, I get the feeling that the chances of him being left out are very slim. Just a feeling I have, I dunno. Also, snowy Kattelox is beautiful and those lifebars look plain awkward.

This is why I think all Classic/X games should let you use the buster alongside whatever weapon you have equipped, like they do in MM8 and the X games from X4 onward. Thing is while I'd love to experiment with other weapons, shutting off my buster is a high price to pay, because it's not something that I want to have unavailable at the wrong moment. Besides, it also lets you trek around in a different color scheme, which can be a nice change of pace.

What I meant is that we can try to support other petitions that are trying to generate some buzz for Legends. The Facebook and Legends Station art-mail are two examples of that. I don't know what degree of effect they'll have, but it's better than nothing.

I decided to post my thoughts on the matter here. I do hope that there's some way to get the project going again (or at least the prototype in the hands of the fans), because Capcom really pulled a jerk move.

This is by far the most polished effort I have ever seen put in a fighting game to date. 3rd Strike is a great game, and this GGPO-enabled reboot of it is looking pretty snazzy! I'm really hoping for a PC release, as 3rd Strike is leaving GGPO after this hits the shelves.
And lol @ EVO Moment #37 as a trial.

Well, I've been putting this off for a while due to a number of reasons (college, general laziness, etc), but here's the next installment of the run; Final Weapon Part I! For whatever reason Fraps didn't want to record the cutscene involving Double slaughtering the reploids, leaving only audio with a black screen.
