Gonna try this as a bit of an experimental thread. I'm sure that for most of you, you all enjoy watching a good fighting game match or two. Now, I'm gonna extend an invitation to stream monster watch the best of the best go at it live in games including Third Strike: Street Fighter III, Super Street Fighter IV: Acrade Edition, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Blazblue: Continuum Shift II, Mortal Kombat, and Tekken 6.

Also of note are the many different panels endorsed by the big wigs of the fighting game community including two from Capcom showing off why Third Strike Online is aiming to be the gold standard for online fighting games and more on the hotly anticipated Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 with a live demo for the participants currently entered in the MVC3 events, Skullgirls' director and "Patron Saint of Combo Videos" Mike Z showing up to show how Skullgirls appreciates the past while embracing the new in a full featured modern package, Yoshinori "Poison" Ono shows up and details more on Street Fighter X Tekken, Capcom lets "Neo G", a guy whose resume spans the original Street Fighter II through the current fighting games SSFIV:AE/MvC3, out of the dungeon to speak with the community on designing fighting games (a must for anyone with a mechanics interest ;) ), and much much more.

For a more indepth listing of the event and venues to follow all the action, here's a NeoGAF Link done by regular USD.

For a brief writeup on what EVO is and why we're so hype for it this year, check out this thread also from GAF detailing a long list of the events both hilarious and hype that led up to this most anticipated finale.

So kick back, relax and let's get ready for the fights. :)

I'm interested in the MK fights too. MK9 was surprisingly good. Still having fun with it.

I thought I wouldn't be able to make it for most of the day, but looks like I'm wrong :D

Right now

SFIV

MK

I'm guessing the first one will be SFIV and MvC3 all day, while the other will be changing between the rest of the games through the day.

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

I'm trying to stay regular in this thread and watch the SF/MvC3 stream while dabbling in the BB stream and waiting for Third Strike, but it looks like I won't be lucky enough to do all of that, between vacation shenanigans and borrowing computers to watch on. XD

Will watch that soon, I don't know enough about SNK fighters and KoFXIII seems pretty hype. On another note, figures the stream chat would blow up when KayoPolice started playing. XD

For good reason. Her Viper costume is sweet. And she hugs her opponents.

Not gonna lie, it hasn't gotten too exciting for me yet. The most I've gotten out of today so far was Juicebox winning despite getting screwed by a pause. He needs to play Juri and land Ultra II ASAP. I'm more looking forward to tomorrow. BlazBlue in particular.
