Yeah. I found this on Wikipedia.

My initial reaction was "Wow, cool." But then I read the article.

"The King of Fighters movie will introduce a new science fiction spin into the setting established in the games' universe by following the surviving members of three legendary fighting clans who are continually whisked away to other dimensions by an evil power," says insider blog Movieset.

"As the fighters enter each new world they battle that universe's native defenders, while the force that brought them seeks to find a way to invade and infect our world."

Good Lord, NO! Why do they need to butcher the story like this? But wait, it gets better! Look at the casting.

As for the actor playing Iori, it looks like he COULD pull it off, kinda like in the same vein as the guy playing Goku pulled off a somewhat realistic version of said character. Then again, we'll just have to wait until the costume is done. Note that I'm talking visually, NO WHERE NEAR actual character.

As for the movie, well, Crappywood can't think up anything original, and since books are being overdone, they have to go with games and anime. Hitman, Max Payne, Bloodrayne, Street Fighter, Dragonball, Astro Boy, Gatchamen, Speed Racer, and now King of Fighters. The change to the story is just BAD though. Seriously? Fighting clans? That's just bad. I don't know a whole lot about the KoF series, but I know for damn sure that wasn't the backstory. Spatial disrupting aliens? That's just...oh good lord, this makes the crap happening in the Dragonball movie look good.

more like "is". the same team that did the TMNT movie is doing those two. Gatchaman, I don't know too much of the details, but Astro Boy is CGI. Looks damn good too, but I don't know who the voice actors are though. EDIT: Went to Wikipedia and found out two very interesting things. 1. The kid from August Rush and Spiderwick Chronicles is voicing Astro Boy (shouldn't be too bad, I saw August Rush and the kid did a damn good job in it, and could probably pull off Astro better than most), and 2. The creator of Astro Boy wrote the script of the movie.

I saw the trailer for the Astro Boy movie, the animation is very nice, so I have no worries about that doing bad.

This. The Astro Boy trailer looks awesome, even if it is short.

As the all the other crapfests... is it really that [tornado fang]ing hard to go find a fansite and read about the story of the game they're trying to make a movie of? It must be, considering the article and choice for the cast.

Maggie Q is far too small to be playing as Mai. So unless Maggie gets implants in the near future, the only reason I would actually see this horrible crapfest will be gone.

The story is about as accurate as Uwe Boll is at making good video game movies, you honestly think they'll care about bust size?

Seriously though, I have to wonder just what in the hell were they smoking when they came up with the plot. At least the Dragonball movie has more accurate tie-ins (the Dragonballs, Goku being the good guy, kamehamaha, and Piccolo being the bad guy). This? I wouldn't be surprised if they had the giant douchbag villain from the series be the good guy and someone who's supposed to be dead turn out to be the turd who's causing the warps 'n stuff happening.

At least that movie was a classic and good movie for the lulz due to the inconsistencies and crap that was going on, this is just taking the plot and having a giant crap dumped all around it.

Except for the cast this is really old for me, and I've already done all of my raging (in silence). Ever since this movie was announced, my expectations were the lowest possible. Now that information was released my expectations increased. I know that sounds illogical, but after this I expect the movie to be so bad that it's awesome (like Mario Bros or Street Fighter) instead of so bad that it's aweful.

Well, at least they kept the three clans thing in it. I do wonder, if they're going with the whole "different worlds" thing why have Rugal instead of Orochi? Not that I complain since Rugal is badass and awesome. Also, what world is Terry from? Engrish world?

I think Japan beat them to it, I think it happens to have a very, thin legged Gundam. I was wondering if they ever touch Code Geass or litterally make an X4 movie.
