the fact that those colors look like the MM1 boxart must be coincidence.

also, the blue and yellow color scheme has been used long before now. Thunder Striker uses the same colors, as does Thunder Beam in Powered Up. Ice Wave looks kinda similar, just a lighter shade of blue. Flash Bomb and Astro Crush also look like that, albeit greener.

those colors in MM8 suck. if you're not paying attention to the weapon icon, you can't tell the difference between Astro Crush and Flash Bomb.

What happens in Vegas stays on Youtube. I also stream on Twitch from time to time.

That explain few thing :D

I figured out Mega Man 9's secret today. It turns out it is the opposite of the Mega Man 6 secret. If turn the nine upside down it becomes a six.

That the laser trident color scheme is the same as the colors of the megaman on the cover :P

Quote from: SethPeople are looking too hard, and also not hard enough. That will sound ridiculous until someone figures out what it means, at which point it will sound profound. Actually everyone already just hates this "secret" so I'm guaranteed to be hated in any event, but there it is.

Seth is still teasing as usual, I see......   >w<

Is anyone still taking this "secret" seriously?

You know.... I wonder..... I know the metal blade thing is a clue one of the robot masters drops when destroyed. But is it possible that Capcom was going to use it as a weapon, but dropped it? In MM2 Megaman used the arm throw sprie for the Metal Blade. Capcom already said somewhere the secret is not a weapon. But maybe it's more of a case in point. Maybe someone could hack Mega Man 9 to make the player use the arm throw sprite, and throw the metal blade icon that the boss drops when destroyed to make it seem like a weapon, which in reality is not?
And I doubt it has anything to do with Jewel Man.......

The other thing I had in mind is the first few notes in 2 songs. The stage select screen, and Wily Castle Stage 2 "We're the Robots" are the EXACT same notes at the beginning.

This is still going on? Well, this is surely doing it's job (keeping everyone's interest in the game, that is).

I find that that MM crowd attracts an obsessive sort of peoiple (myself included).  I am not surprised that people are still obsessing over this.

If the emulation would play at full speed and not have graphics issues, I would be searching night and day for any secrets.

I'm not surprised in the least, myself. I used to be pretty bad when I was younger, but then I kinda snapped out of it a few years ago. I still obsess, but to a far lesser degree, and I'm more picky about what I obsess about :P

HyperSonicEXE

What does he mean by it'd be a secret we'd hate? Is it some sort of trap or enemy?

Satoryu

must be a shitty secret, then.

LoL, you mean NERDS?

What he probably means is that we're hyping what this secret will be too much; setting the bar too high on our expectations, and he's worried that we'll be disappointed in the end...
