S-Kill did say it was an easter egg. So maybe there is someone who works at Capcom who is trying to follow in his footsteps. Maybe there is a certain point of the game where you have to wait for a certain amount of time to make whatever happen, to happen.

I don't know, but maybe it's it. In Megaman 9, when Megaman dies, the game freezes for a second before playing the "death sound", just like in Megaman 1, but unlike the other ones.
